LIFT 🪽

We often hear the saying, “Jesus loves you”. We see it on random street corners, a poster in a cafe, or in the hashtags of a social media post. What does this really mean?

This weekend at Lift, I had the blessing of being surrounded by other teenagers and adults who all had a passion for Christ. The weight of my salvation truly sank in this weekend.

Jesus loves you so much that He DIED for you on the cross. We all deserve death for our sins, and none of us has lived a perfect life but Jesus. Jesus makes us whole, and Jesus IS our salvation. Without His real sacrifice on the cross for our sins that only He, the only Son of God, could bear, none of us would get the absolute blessing it is to spend eternal life with Him.

We are saved by Christ through our faith in Him. Our life on earth is not meaningless. We cannot turn away from the Holy Spirit and shut it out. We cannot be complacent in this world and ignore the sacrifice that God made for us in dying on the cross for us. After receiving this gift, I can’t be silent.

In November of this year, I was led by the Holy Spirit to get baptized. After struggling with my mental health in the form of clinical depression & anxiety, as well as ADHD and eating disorders, I lived a life of constant battle and struggle. Every day used to be a fight, and I was losing. It wasn’t until turning to God and realizing that all of my struggles had a PURPOSE that I truly began to live again; it was when I gave my life to Him that I was born again.

We can’t ignore the gift of salvation that was freely given to us by the one who created all. Ask the questions. Be uncomfortable. Be bold. You are safe & loved in the hands of the Father, and it isn’t until you lose your life that you will gain it (John 12:25).

Thank you, God, for this weekend and for these people.
