ORIFLAMME = HOME

each year I get to go through this incredible process with such amazing, spirited, and kind servant leaders I learn more and more about what finding my home at SLU looks like. And these people are it! Spring lot, the leadership team, my precious flamme, and every other leader that I got to grow closer to gives me so much HOPE in the SLU community!! these people are truly my JOY and I am already counting down the days until next year 🔥🔥

I know it’s been a while but I can’t help thinking about how incredibly grateful I am for these people who made Madrid a home!

each and every one of my roommates impacted me in a different way, and taught me so much about being authentically myself and surrounding myself with the right people!

chloe was my rock! she was there for every exciting, terrifying, and hard moment. her endless joy and positivity created so much light everywhere we went! i learned so much about myself from watching her grow and embrace new things. she keeps me so grounded!

marybeth always encouraged me to be brave! she knew how social i could be and always encouraged me to try new things. I will always appreciate her fun nature and incredibly kind heart!

allison was the best roommate a girl could ask for! she loves with her full heart and is always up for any side quest. i loved endless nights of chatting and giggling with her and feel truly special to have made a friend like her!

emily emily emily. oh my goodness you have not met a joyful and hilarious spirit until you have met her! she is a friend to all and always has something funny to say. she works harder than anyone i know and can balance her life better than i’ve ever seen it done. a truly incredible gal!

Virginia was THE BEST HOST MOM i could have ever asked for. she treated us like her daughters and supported each of us in ways we didnt know we needed!

i will always remember locking ourselves out the second night, and looking for this beautiful green door to find home!

dance class was so incredibly fun! so thankful for the opportunity to live out my Dancing with the Stars dream and get to laugh and joke around with my friends! i always looked forward to class because i knew i would get to grow in my friendships with these peeps and learn some cool new moves!

i hope you know chloe and I were talking and laughing this entire dance!

best metro stop out there. plus it was a 1 min walk from the apartment so that was a bonus!

i learned that small moments can have big impacts and leave lasting memories so to have intention with each day!
