De derde editie van Jazz Camp for Girls vindt opnieuw plaats in Ha Concerts in Gent. Er zijn nog een paar plaatsjes vrij, dus schrijf je snel in! Of je nu al muziek speelt of enkel zingt onder de douche, alle meisjes van 10 tot en met 14 jaar zijn welkom om op een speelse en vrije manier te experimenteren met tal van jazzinstrumenten en om te leren improviseren met een heleboel (nieuwe) vriendinnen! Op haar geliefde sopraansax zoekt Adia Vanheerentals (@addylove_x) op ‘Taking Place’ (@relativepitchrecords) al improviserend de dialoog op met enkele onverwachte locaties. Zo speelt ze met (de bewoners van) een kippenhok, een voorbijrijdende tram of met een kabbelend watertje. Niet atypisch: Vanheerentals verovert de (inter)nationale jazzwereld via allerlei interessante samenwerkingen, of het nou met het Klinck Trio is (met Elisabeth Klinck en Maya Dhondt), haar eigen band Bodem of in samenwerkingen met freejazzveteraan Cel Overberghe en Hanne De Backer of op uitnodiging in Fire! Klinck Trio consists of Elisabeth Klinck, Maya Dhondt, and Adia Vanherentals. We joined them at the Vanhaerents Art Collection, a hidden gem in the heart of Brussels and one of the festival locations during this edition of BRDCST. The stunning building houses an impressive contemporary art collection that you can also visit during the BRDCST festival.The trio selected their favorite works from the collection.
