Day 2 of 3.
Adebola, we painted the sky purple for you 💜.
One of the things Deb’s loved most was to sing.

Not because she wanted to be seen, but because worship was simply who she was.

She had dreamed of opening an Instagram page dedicated entirely to singing, and while she was here, she served faithfully in the choir at @keywordng .

So this felt like the most fitting way to remember her.

We gathered with the people she loved. To lift our voices in the same songs she would have sung. To fill the room with the kind of praise that always brought her joy.

For a few hours, grief and gratitude sat side by side. Tears came, but so did laughter.

And as we sang, we couldn’t help but think that we were simply joining in with what she’s already doing now worshipping before the One she loved most. Abba 💜🪽

A few months ago, our lives changed in an instant.

We lost our darling Adebola in a tragic accident, and with that, knew we’ll spend a lifetime missing her. Losing her has been the hardest thing we’ve ever had to walk through. There are no words big enough for this kind of grief.

But even in the middle of unimaginable loss, one thing has remained beautifully clear. Debola’s love was the kind that could move mountains.
The enemy may have intended to steal our joy, but we have chosen and will continue to choose to turn our pain into purpose. To answer heartbreak with hope. To let love have the final word ❤️‍🩹

She believed deeply in caring for children, quality healthcare delivery & Nursing education. She gave so freely that generosity became second nature to everyone around her. So when we began thinking about how to honor her, there really wasn’t another option. We had to keep that love moving.

Day one of our memorial weekend was spent @heartsofgoldchildrenshospice loving on children, giving where we could, holding space for them and sharing moments that reminded us so much of her. Because if Debola taught us anything, it’s that love is meant to be lived, shared, and poured out.

Live. Love. Serve.
Her Mantra

They have become the legacy we’re choosing to carry forward.

To our family, our friends, and every person who showed up with open hearts, thank you.
Our hearts are forever changed, lives forever transformed because of Debola 💜.

Happy Heavenly Birthday my angel baby💜🕊️

It breaks my heart that you’re no longer on this side of eternity. It all still feels so unbelievable, so unexpected. 113 days already and I wish things were different. I wish we hadn’t gotten in that car. I wish we had more time. But even through all of that, I will always be grateful, grateful for the gift of being your sister.
Thank you for loving me so deeply Adebola, so much you spent your last moments with me. You followed me everywhere, almost as if you knew.💔
It brings me so much comfort knowing that my last memories of you are of how happy you were at my bridal shower, and of you peacefully sleeping on my shoulder in that car. Happy and restful, just as i always wanted you..
I miss you beyond what words could ever express. My heart aches for you every single second of every day, but as Scripture reminds us, we do not grieve as those who have no hope. I know we will be together again one day.
Until then, sleep peacefully Omo Kikelomo, and keep singing and dancing with the angels. 👼
Today, I choose to celebrate the beautiful life you lived and the peace that comes from knowing that you are wrapped safely in the arms of Jesus.
I love you with every fiber of my being. Though it is incredibly hard, I will keep fighting. I will keep fighting to remain on this side of eternity for as long as God wills, because I know that’s what you would want, and I will live a life that honours you until we meet again. 🪽

I wanted photos that truly reflected the season I am in, REST. Right now, I am simply resting in the love of the Father… and it feels so good.

Thank you all for the beautiful birthday messages. I may not be able to respond to each one, but please know I have seen them, and I am deeply grateful. It really does get better every year.❤️💃🏾

Oh, to be living evidence of God’s mercy! His mercy, His grace, His abounding love, and His sovereign hand.
As I step into a new year of my life, may I continue to walk in clarity, divine speed, and perfect alignment with His will.
