So I’ve been sitting on this for a bit but I’m so excited to announce

I will be making my directorial debut this Halloween season!

My first day of rehearsals felt like such a dream come true. I have always been on stage for rehearsals, helping to bring someone else’s vision to life. What an incredible opportunity to be on the other side! I cannot wait to share this show with everyone!

This is your “Long Post Warning”:

As many know, I worked as a Partner at Starbucks for almost 15 years. It was my first (and only) job after I graduated high school. It got me through a lot; a lot of very high ups and a lot of VERY low downs. I was able to meet some incredible people. People who helped to shape the person I am today. People who started out as colleagues and have evolved into friends. I also learned a lot and not just about coffee. Lol. My job at Starbucks was such a strong piece of my identity. I was always a barista first and a musician second.

I have said that my Pandemic experience was a unique one. And I am very aware of how blessed and lucky I am for that. When most people lost their jobs I was working more than ever. When most people were isolating and quarantining in their homes I was going to work 6 days a week. And when most musicians lost their gigs and had to find other forms of income I was able to quit my day job and only do music.

I can’t say that leaving Starbucks was an easy decision to make. At the time I was terrified! I was so accustomed to having a day job, something to fall back on, a safety net. I hadn’t realized that the stress of that job compounded with a global pandemic had started to manifest itself physically in my body and really weighing heavily on my mental health. Although making the choice to quit and leave the comfort of a job I had for well over a decade was scary I knew it was the right decision.

Today marks exactly ONE YEAR since I left Starbucks. One year of me being able to say I am a professional musician. One year of being able to sustain my standard of living simply by performing and making music. One year of prioritizing myself and my family and my friends.
