Sometimes I need a break from
chasing dramatic light and epic landscapes.

Sometimes I need to slow down. To visit local farms, cook from scratch, preserve the fruits of nature.
Calm, quiet time, without the need to be somewhere.
To watch the rain and wind through the window on a stormy day. Enjoy the beauty of the surroundings, to admire architecture and good design. To find peace in autumn sunshine that looked out of the clouds for a brief second.

exploring Scottish highlands/ @croft3mull , Isle of Mull

If I had to point out the pillars of my existence, they would be food, nature and outdoors, photography, architecture and design. I have a bachelor in architecture, used to work as a designer, nature is my religion, outdoor is where I feel at peace.

That being said, I’m a foodie to the bone.
It’s not just an interest or hobby. Food next to photography is a central priority around which my life is revolves.

Croft 3 is a place that scratches all my itches. A Restaurant and a Croft - a small traditional homestead farm - surrounded by rugged, coastal landscape of isle of Mull. Set in a old converted croft building, with amazing handcrafted interiors and delicious, local, seasonal food that reflects the land around it.

I had it on my list long before we got to visit Scotland and we planed our whole trip to isle of Mull around this visit. It didn’t disappoint, it truly is a hidden gem.

So worth taking the ferry trip for.

This summer has been quite crazy.

To escape unbearable heatwaves in Poland, we drove a long long way to northern Norway, to find ourselves in the rainiest summer locals can remember.

Sometimes the journey doesn’t go according to plan. With weeks of rain ahead, we decided to let the weather change our plans. We gave up two weeks of road-tripping under the tent and spontaneously found ourselves above the Arctic Circle, on an island which is very special to me.

Skrova feels like my comfort zone.
It was my fourth time visiting the island, with the first time being over 10 years ago. This is where I fell in love with the North. This is where strangely I feel at home.

We stayed on Skrova for a week and throughout that time we were lucky to get few days of weather window.

Here are some frames from evening hike to Skrovafjellet and blue hour with my favorite view. 🇳🇴✨
