The thing I’m most grateful for are the connections I’ve made along the way: the laughter, the friendships, the workshops, the honest and intimate conversations, and the trust you’ve placed in me and my work.

Real talk: running this business has been an amazing journey, but the last few years have been increasingly challenging, and it’s taken a toll on my physical, mental, and emotional health.

Closing feels like the right choice, as heartbreaking as it is.

The store closes Thursday 15 January, and my final workshop on 17 January is now sold out.

I’ve had a few requests for an extra date - if enough people are interested, I might host one on 18 January. Please message me if you would like the chance to attend. If I do, there will be 6 places. First come, first served.

I hate goodbyes but my chapter with pleasure tools has come to an end.

Thank you so much to everyone who has followed, supported, shared, and liked my work.

I’ll share more later on the reasons why this chapter has come to a close. For now, you can find my last remaining pieces online at final sale prices and join me at my final farewell dildo decorating workshop on the 17th January (links in bio).

A little friend and art appreciation post 〰️

A few weeks ago I was fortunate to spend a beautiful afternoon with my good friend, artist and pleasure tool maker @adelebrydges @friezemasters.

Adele is a visionary. How she’s approached the design and craft of pleasure tools is utterly unique and I see her legacy and impact filtering into sexual wellness brands that have launched in the last few years, as well as my own, she continues to inspire me and my principles and values as I build my company. If you don’t know her ceramic toys please go get one, they are both beautiful and effective (here with a Tom Ford late 90’s Gucci condom holder I was given by my mother when I was 17).

As Adele and I wandered through the tents we were drawn to @luxembourg_co booth, showing works by an American artist, Joe Ray. The exhibition featured works made by the artist in the mid 60’s and 70’s, inspired by the cosmos and the race to space. On an adjacent wall was a series of inky works called each called ‘Hand Jive’. These two works were hung next to each other, a pairing. We contemplated their energy, the left a portal, an opening, soft and deep, the right erect, a fast upwards energy. We felt they captured the polarities of s*xual energy so beautifully. Slides 2/3/4. by @adelebrydges

Coming soon to Echo Soho (@echosoho): A Thousand Different Women by Adele Brydges (@adelebrydges) is a series exploring liminality, identity, and the transformative power of fire. Each vessel is sculpted in clay by hand and burnished to achieve a lustrous sheen that seals the surface. After an initial bisque firing, the work undergoes a second firing using ritualistic and elemental saggar and barrel techniques.

The visceral surface patina emerges through the burning of symbolic and organic materials; menstrual blood, hair, nails, and seasonal offerings, invoking cycles of decay and renewal, and the sacredness of the ‘taboo’.

Here, the void is not emptiness but a threshold full of potential, with surfaces that echo the scars, growth, and experiences that shape and make us.

Echo Soho is an art fair founded by and for female-led galleries amplifying their influence in contemporary art in the heart of London’s Soho, opening 16th October. Tickets available now at www.echosoho.com 🎟

In love with the simplicity and devotion of burnishing clay with terra sigillata and a small smooth stone. This ancient practice involves coating the clay in a superfine slip and sealing the surface by compacting the clay using friction and pressure and produces the most beautiful, lustrous sheen.
