My influence and muse.
Back in 2024 @triart.gallery created this wonderful video that was played during my show in their gallery. It’s a beautiful creation and gives a little glimpse into why I do what I do.
Thanks you @triart.gallery & @artnoise_store

My studio finally has a much better flow. This is tidy. 5 tables with lots of space to move around. It ended up taking me 3 days with lots of interruptions 🤪 but I got there. My boards from @rusticburlco & @apollongotrick will be arriving within days and I’m feeling so ready to get back to it. It’s been a wonderfully busy summer full of shows, events and some much needed down time. I’m officially recharged and ready to create.
*Commissions are open*
If you’re hoping to commission a painting for this Fall or Winter now is the time to book it. Each piece takes me approximately 4-6 weeks to create. Currently I have a 2 month waitlist.

The Kingston Square Foot Show is happening this weekend! Opening night is Friday at 6pm and runs through to Sunday at the Tett Centre. There is usually a line up Friday evening so if you have your eye on something I’d suggest being there early. Remember you can only buy inperson on Friday then it moves to online and inperson Saturday and Sunday.

I’ll have 5 pieces at the show this year and 3 of them are my part of my 100 Paintings in 100 Days series. These are 10”x10” and framed to 12”x12”. These are a limited series that I’m thrilled at have included in this fabulous Kingston show.

Happy browsing everyone!
See you there Friday!

“Onward - 2, 20” round, acrylic and gold leaf on maple tondo.

Soft lavender clouds and golden light meet layers of flowing colour, evoking the quiet beauty of a new beginning. A luminous horizon rests between sky and water, inviting a moment of stillness and reflection. A gentle reminder to embrace change, find beauty in the journey, and look toward what lies ahead with hope.

Onward 40”x40”
Acrylic and gold leaf on birch panel.

Onward captures the quiet stillness of a horizon at transition. Painted directly onto wood, the artwork uses translucent washes of deep indigo, radiant coral, and soft amber to let the organic wood grain shine through, transforming natural wood fibers into luminous clouds and rolling seas. Delicate contouring weaves texture and light together, offering a meditative reflection on movement, light, and the journey ahead.

Light Finds a Way, 40”x40”
Acrylic and gold leaf on birch panel.

Light finds a way captures the moment warmth breaks through a hazy sky. Fluid washes of deep teal, crimson, and gold layer over the raw wood panel, letting the natural grain show through to create a sense of quiet brightness and hope.

Seven years ago, I took my first trip to California.

From the moment I stood on that coastline, I felt a pull toward it. The rugged cliffs, the vast ocean, the quality of the light, and the feeling of possibility stayed with me long after I returned home.

That trip sparked something in me. Not only did it inspire my work, but it also planted a dream: one day, I hoped my paintings would find a home there.

Today, I’m grateful to share that my work is now represented by Artspace Warehouse in Los Angeles.

As an artist, moments like this are rarely the result of one big step. They’re built through years of painting, learning, showing up, taking chances, and continuing to believe in the work even when the path isn’t always clear.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, collectors, galleries, friends, family, and fellow artists. Your encouragement has meant more than you know.

Sometimes dreams take time. This one took seven years.

There’s something incredibly special about creating a commission when you know it’s going to become part of someone’s home.

This one was a true labour of love. I worked through the process of bringing the colours, movement and sweeping skies together, carefully making sure each piece felt connected while still being its own painting.

And then came the moment every artist hopes for.

Seeing them installed in their new home.

But what happened next meant even more to me.

My client sent me these photos and said:

“I am obsessed! They are so beautiful, I may cry!”

She told me she keeps noticing new little details and can’t wait to watch how the paintings evolve in the changing light.

And then she told me something I’ll never forget.

She had put up huge squares of brown paper where the paintings would eventually hang two years ago, when she first saw my work. She had been waiting all that time to finally take them down.

That is the part of being an artist that never gets old.

To know that something I imagined and created in my studio has found its way into someone’s life, and is now something they’ll live with, look at, and discover something new in every day, is such an incredible gift.

A huge thank you to Blue Crow Gallery for bringing this commission together, supporting the process, and taking the extra care to personally install the paintings in my client’s beautiful home. I’m so grateful for everything you did to make this happen.

And to my client, thank you for trusting me with this commission and for welcoming my work into your home so wholeheartedly. 🤍

This is exactly why I paint.

“Wild Skies - 7”
36” round, acrylic and gold leaf on maple panel.
This piece was created by moving and layering acrylic washes the same way clouds build in the sky. It was pure joy to create. Allowing the wash to move across the board with gentle encouragement from me allowed very a natural flow and slow build. This piece brings me great joy and I’m thrilled to share it with you. It is currently available on my website.
