The Next Strike | Part 3

When did they realise they could compete at this level?

Against the Jewels, our Academy-led group showed exactly what they were capable of.

Taking a 15-point lead against experienced WNBL talent was a moment that announced this group on the national stage. They fell just short, but the belief they built was bigger than the result.

The pathway is real. The talent is here. ⚡

The Next Strike | Part 2

What does it feel like stepping onto the WNBL stage for the first time?

For our Academy athletes, it came with nerves, excitement and a big challenge.

Going up against older, stronger and more experienced opponents, they had to trust their preparation and each other.

Once the ball went up they competed together, and showed they belonged.⚡

A little inspiration never hurts… 👀⚡️

We asked the kids at our basketball clinic to dream up the ultimate Lightning mascot.

Let’s just say… they might be onto something.
