*Theory, Harmony, and Improvisation*
courses for all instruments and vocalists with subjects of study ranging from Baroque to modern jazz .

Although very different styles demand very different sets of minds to genuinely express them. I strongly believe that a very solid knowledge of fundamentals is the base for any musician who is, and should be, in a continuous learning mode.

You can be a classically trained musician who only learned to play what is written, without having any idea of what’s happening harmonically, melodically and rhythmically or an intermediate instrumentalist/singer who is lost inside the sea of today’s accessible information. You can also be an amateur who just wants to know how to learn your favorite songs by ear and to be able to improvise/compose your own music. Or maybe a student who wants to run an entrance exam of a music institution, be it local or international.

One should always seek a good teacher of the instrument to teach proper posture and basic principles of good mechanics and sound. Nevertheless, I learned better my instrument by learning, transcribing, imitating, watching, listening to singers, Pianists, Sax, Double Bass, Oud players and Drummers.

Tradition vs your own identity/sound: By learning and analyzing entire pieces or small passages of Classical, Jazz and Pop tunes, students will have a growing and continuous harmonic and improvisational vocabulary to create and help them find their identity. taken in Beirut, Lebanon by @adelminkara

Adel Minkara, the jazz guitarist who played alongside the legend Ziad Rahbani takes us through this musical bridge from Lebanon to Brazil.
He explains how Bossa Nova was born, how Samba evolved, and how these sounds eventually found their way into our own music scene.

With years next to Arthur Satyan, and Ziad, the pioneer who brought Brazilian influences into Lebanese music, Adel shares intimate, funny, and moving stories from that era, the ones you never get to hear.

This is The Brazilian Connection, the Lebanese-South American story shaped by more than 8 million Lebanese and Lebanese-descendants living in Brazil.

Bossa Nova… but in a Lebanese accent.
