POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

With July 11 approaching, as we remember Srebrenica, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to me and my family.

My father is from Srebrenica. 99 members of my family were murdered. This history has never been distant to me; it has always been part of who I am.

I wanted to explore that part of myself through my work, and it felt important to tell this story with my brother @adiiiademovic He has no acting experience at all, but he still chose to step in and be part of this little project. I’m incredibly grateful to him.

This scene is inspired by the story of Ramo Osmanović, who was forced to call into the forest, telling those still hiding that they were safe. Among them was his own son, Nermin Osmanović. It was a cruel deception. Both of them were murdered.

This is my way of remembering, not only my own family, but all those who were murdered, and all those whose voices were silenced.

Never forget Srebrenica! #8372 #srebrenica

A special thank you to @christopherkorkisch (camera & editing) and @victoria.hauer (editing@directing) This project would not have been possible without you guys! Thank you for your work behind the camera, your guidance, and your dedication in helping me bring this little story to life. by @ademov_ic
