This Birthday feels different, beautiful yet deeply emotional.
Today is my First Birthday without my Mum’s Prayers, her calls, her telling me how beautiful I look, and hyping me up in the way only she could. I miss hearing her say, “Post eeee, o ti fine ju, Adeolami… Ade Ade!” 🥺🤍
My prayer warrior, my safe place. I miss her more than words could ever explain.
All I can do today is live the way she would want me to smile, be happy, dress up, take pictures and celebrate my life, because she could never stand to see me SAD.
So today, I celebrate with a heart full of gratitude and a heart that misses her terribly. I know she is still loving me, praying for me and cheering me on from Heaven.

With a heavy heart, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, IYAMI, one month ago. It feels as though a part of me has been lost, a void that can never be filled. She wasn’t just my mother; she was my best friend, mentor, and greatest supporter—the light that brightened every room. She always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. I still hear her voice, her prayers, in my mind. Everyone who knew her felt her kindness and warmth, her ability to love everyone as her own. Mom, I’m still learning how to navigate life without you 😭😭😭

Mom, we had so much plans, I miss you calling my name, it’s so hard to pretend. Living without you has been the hardest challenge I have ever faced. I’m trying to be strong, not just for myself, but for my younger siblings. You’ve left me caring for three little ones —oh Lord, please give me the strength and wisdom to be the mother they need. Iya opeeeeeeeee, as I lovingly called you—I love you and miss you every single day. Some days are filled with tears, but I hold onto the love and memories we shared. They remind me of the incredible woman she was and the strength she instilled in me.

Thank you to everyone who has offered prayers, love, gifts and support during this difficult time. Your kindness means the world to me. Mom, I love you so much and miss you every day. Happy Birthday Adeshina Mi❤️

This birthday is different, and I know we both miss Mum deeply. But I want you to always remember that you are loved, cherished, and never alone.

I am so proud of the young man you are becoming. As your big sister, I promise to always be here for you, to support you, pray for you, encourage you, and stand by you no matter what. I will do my best to be a mother to you in every way I can and to make sure you always have someone in your corner.

Keep making me proud, my smart boy and prayer warrior. Continue to grow in wisdom, strength, and faith. Mum would be so proud of you, and so am I.
