I’m especially thankful for @wildprojectnyc . Being at wild project from the ground up and watching it grow the past 17 years has truly been a privilege and given me a purpose in life.

wild project has not only provided a home to me but countless others as well. A place for artists and theatre companies to create new work. To feel supported and given the freedom to explore.

The friendships we have built with our neighbors and fellow small business owners is truly special. We love our Lower East Side community and we look forward to securing our space and plant permanent roots in our community for many years to come. Please support our capital campaign however you are able to. Make a donation or spread the word. #savewildproject link in bio

Thank you! 💕

wild project is incredibly saddened by the passing of our good friend, artist, and queer angel, Jill Sobule. 🌈 ♥️

“I was devastated to hear about Jill’s passing. It was kismet that our paths crossed with each other. After the covid shutdown we met through a mutual dear friend and the rest is history. It was an honor and privilege that I/wild project were able to produce F*ck7thgrade and have it run 4 times over a span of 2 years! Jill quickly became part of our family. All of the cast, Creative team and crew are truly bonded for life. The memories are ours to cherish forever. Jill’s show F*ck7thgrade resonated with so many audiences, no matter their age, gender or ethnicity. People saw themselves in Jill, she was a gifted storyteller. I love her so much and my heart is broken.”- Ana Mari de Quesada Producing Artistic Director

“She helped put wild project on the map through her storytelling and her music guided us out of a tough time. It was a blessing to know her.” -Tom Escovar, Producing Director by @adequesada

2026 has been an amazing year! wild project is more than a stage - it’s a permanent home for independent creators. We are proud to lift up local independent artists, dedicating specific initiatives to female, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC-led projects. Shoutout to our incredible On the Verge curator, Heather Litteer, and to all our independent artists who push the boundaries of performance art every day! Arts equity starts right here in Alphabet City. We look forward to the next On the Verge March 25 - 28, 2027! 🙌 🩷
