JP Chronic returns to Adesso Music in fine form with his fourth single for the label, ‘High Pressure Cooker’. Driven by a cavalcade of organic percussion – from lively bongos to sharp wooden hits – the track lands squarely in peak-time territory, pairing Eastern-inspired synth work with classic spoken-word vocals before the drop. Fresh from his high-profile collaboration ‘Head On’ with Huxley, UK-based producer @andthenluke returns to Adesso Music this July with ‘Getting Down’. ‘Getting Down’ sees AndThen lean into a more disco-infused, funk-fuelled style while retaining the driving percussion, commanding vocal hooks and explosive drops that have become synonymous with his sound. Bright synth work and lush strings add colour to the iridescent grooves, making it perfectly primed for summer dancefloors. A consistent force within the underground house circuit, AndThen has released on labels including Nervous, Circus Recordings and Flashmob while picking up support from Jamie Jones, Paco Osuna and Blond:ish. Poland’s rising house scene takes centre stage on Adesso Music this July as @paulsun.music and @louisdj_official come together for their first collaborative EP, ‘Shake’. Backed by support from Roger Sanchez, Chris Lake, and Robert Owens, and with releases landing via Nothing But, WyldCard, and Flashmob, the pair deliver three percussion-rich cuts tailored for peak-time pandemonium. Title cut ‘Shake’ sets the tone with driving drums, tribal-leaning grooves, chopped vocal hooks, and dubbed-out textures woven throughout. ‘Work’ follows suit, bringing together rich organic percussion, crisp claps, and warped vocal processing for a hypnotic, late-night affair. Closing the EP, ‘All U Need’ shifts gears slightly, introducing falling synth motifs and warm melodic flourishes while retaining the project’s signature low-end groove and percussive weight – rounding out superb release primed for the heads down, hands up moment. by @adessomusic
