DON’T START WITH THE ACTION.
This PUBG Mobile film had plenty of action. But the opening needed room for something else: the characters, their world, and a quiet moment before everything changed.
Giving that opening time to breathe made the shift into action feel bigger.
That’s what I think about when I’m shaping the pace of a film. How long can we stay in a moment? When should the energy change? Have we earned the intensity that comes next?

Finding the laugh in the chaos.

The hardest part of editing Ahlam El Asr was balancing the action and comedy—revealing the funny moment while keeping the energy of the scene alive.

I wanted the audience to feel the action and still catch the comedy happening inside it.

Before the audience could fear for this family, I wanted them to feel its warmth.
Building that emotional progression was the hardest part of editing Lam Shamsya trailer.
I wanted viewers to feel close to the family first, then feel the impact of what happened and their effort to protect their child.
The trailer reveals the situation, but leaves an important question unanswered: what consequences will the person responsible face?
The challenge was deciding how much to reveal, while giving each moment enough room to carry its emotion.

IF THEY DON'T GET IT, THEY CAN'T FEEL IT.
While editing The First Line, one of my biggest challenges was making sure the story was clear to the audience.
We knew the story. We understood the characters and the direction.
But the audience was experiencing everything for the first time.
That meant looking at every editorial decision from their perspective.
What do they need to understand at this moment?
What information should come next?
And how can the edit guide them through the story without unnecessary confusion?
Because storytelling isn't only about what you want to say.
It's about what the audience actually understands.
