Every introduction I have ever given has included a line on my passion for food and travel, regardless of the forum. Because food simply isn’t just a ‘hobby’ for me, it is part of my identity.

Multiple things had to conspire for me to reach here: the belief to live life at 100%, to take every single shot you get, this job, these friends and family, this life really.

A lot of you have been part of my journey - this mission and obsession of visiting India’s top 50 restaurants. It evolved me into more than just a casual diner, understanding how we are as consumers, how the industry works and how our country eats.

Thank you to @cntravellerindia @diviathani @sa1i1 @malavikab @shwetamehta_ @panic.poori for hearing my story, seeing its potential and bringing 2 years worth of work to life. This story, this byline is my dream come true.

Year after year, I write my goals. For that year, for life. I don’t know if that’s what qualifies as manifestation. But I do believe that the hardest part is knowing what the goal is, the doing is just the process.

I’ve always been a speaker, grown up watching TED-ed and TEDx talks. Visualizing THE platform, the red dot; imitating the poise, the pauses and the imagining the applause. Overtime, it began to feature in my life bucket list. For the last ~2-3 years, it has been there every year.

And I did it. A smaller platform to start off, a comfortable audience. But it is a start. When I had to prep, I realised I didn’t have anything crazy worth telling. And yet, that is my story and that is what I shared - my journey of figuring it out - a public WIP. What it means to me to succeed, what growth means, what I’ve begun to value most.

This is your sign to always take that shot. I spent the whole evening yesterday explaining why I do what I do, how I’m an outsider and that is what makes my pov valuable. I do it for the love of the space - of the passion I felt yesterday, but also every time I dined at a spot that started with love and a dream.

I was so overwhelmed. And yet, as I head back, I’m cognizant of how far I came this year in making this passion more real. Real enough to sometimes have existential questions, but also real enough to know that I want to continue doing more of this - meeting people, experiencing new food, and writing about my perspective and stories.

Thanks to everyone who is here. I have a long way to go. You’re here to witness the beginning and I’m always going to be grateful for that. taken in Goa, India by @adhanukaa

Top tier notes from this year’s list - straight from the vibe check at the event. A lot of excitement, a lot of cheer for goa, some silent disappointment for delhi, and complete complete support and love for each and every winner here.

To be amongst the top in a country this large, which places food at the center of much of its history, culture, traditions is no easy task, and no lightweight honour. Saw the industry stalwarts come together with respect, camaraderie and the shared vision to make India’s F&B scene truly stand out.

I truly believe we’re witnessing the depletion of wonder from our lives. To be curious, passionate, excited, surprised, emotional - to keep the sparks in our hearts alive is to be alive.

Thank to my friends - for pushing me to let loose, not plan, get into salty water, do wfh from anywhere but home, and fulfill my dreams of driving on islands. I would never party this way with anyone else.

“On 13 June this year, with Shillong’s monsoon all around me, I walked out of Rynsan, slightly tipsy on the local wine. To reach this restaurant in Meghalaya–voted number 49 on Condé Nast Traveller x District Top Restaurant Awards 2025–my family and I travelled more than 1,500km by air and road,” says Ananya Dhanuka (@adhanukaa), who has now completed her mission to eat at all 50 restaurants on CNT’s Top 50 list for a second year in a row.

Now that I’m in ggn again - I’m making myself useful.

I will go back for more food. But also
1. It is QUITE pricey
2. The lavender really overstimulated me

BUT TRY - for sure. Go in non peak hours, a line for cafes is too much please. by @adhanukaa
