It's that time of year again. Its officially October and heres my watchlist for the month. As with every watchlist i do, each day has a new movie to follow the theme of the week. Week 1 is remakes that dont suck. Week 2 is good ol fashioned zombies. Week 3 is "inspired by a true story." And week 4, as always, is slashers. If you're looking for some good flicks this spooky season check these out 🤙🏻

D-Von had been taken out and Bubba was taking a beating at the hands of the Hardyz. He stands up and accepting his fate says to them "finish it" and just like that the final chapter in the Book of Dudley is written 💔#adifferentclassofnerd #team3d #thedudleyboyz #thehardyboyz #endofanera #boundforglory by @adifferentclassofnerd

Halloween 2025. Week 2
"How have you never seen that?" Day 1

A new week a new theme. This week i decided to include movies that are popular, large followings and generally considered to be very good to great that i have chosen not to watch for 1 reason or another.

Hereditary. One of the most talked about horror movies of the last decade. Claimed by many to be the best and definitely a movie people who know me are surprised that i have yet to watch. Truth is i think elevated horror, for the most part, is pretty gay. So this was never on my radar. But well give it a shot now.

Halloween 2025. Week 1
Man vs Beast Day 7

Eight Legged Freaks. For the last day of man vs beast i figured id pick a film that truly leans into the comedy and hokey nature these movies can have. David Arquette when let loose is always a goofy treat. Doug E Doug should have gotten a much bigger career than he did. And we get a young Scarlett Johansson. Its always fun seeing big stars in pre-breakout roles. Good cheese and a fun homage to 50s big monster b-movies. Turn your brain off and enjoy all the goant spider madness.

Halloween 2025. Week 1
Man vs Beast Day 6

Anaconda. Another all timer. There is so much to love about this movie. The cast is loaded. Ice Cube basically plays himself but its great to watch, J-lo is J-lo, Eric Stoltz, Johnathan Hyde, Owen Wilson, Danny Trejo and then you have Jon Voight being a straight up lunatic with an atrocious accent that actually won an award for being so bad. Is it a good movie? Fuck no. Are the effects good? Not really. But is it a fun watch? Absolutely. It certainly has that charm that is needed to solidify it in the "so bad its good" category. Its also one of those movies that used to play ALL THE TIME on TNT or one of those channels that id always stop and watch when i caught it.

Halloween 2025. Week 1
Man vs Beast Day 5

Piranha. One of the few movies on my watchlist that i dont own myself yet. But Joe Dante and Roger Corman together making pure scholck. Whats not to love? An obvious Jaws ripoff with plenty of cheese, self awareness, and overall fun. Which, at the end of the day, is the most important thing in a movie like this.
