Part two. I returned to the US a second time to visit @with.witt at the new @originalgoodtimes house. One day out of nowhere, Gregg walks in to the living room and says ( Am sending you to the pro contest Shut Up & Skate Houston, Texas)...I remember being confused as shit, ass I didn’t even ride for Goodtimes skateboards, and I know idea what it all meant. Next thing I know I’m in a van with a team manager named Matt, and filmer named Brian, on our way to Texas. The contest wasnt even in my mind, because I always dreamed of skating the historic blue Houston, vert ramp, especially night sessions like Id seen in all skate videos, with Texas legends as @b_pennington @kenfillion and so many more. I qualified to final and right after finishing some random dude walked up and asked if I was nervous about turning pro, and he added that if you didnt place top ten in the contest you would be stuck between amateur and pro, and no one in the skate industry would touch you.. After skating the final they started announcing the contest results, and as it started reaching up to 8th, and 7th place I realized I was screwed as my name had not been announced. I turned around and started walking away thinking I’m f•d...and didn’t make it, and the line up was heavy pros.. As I was walking away my name was suddenly announced, and as I turned around, legend @kenfillion told me I got 2nd place turning pro debut.

These times are some of the best memories in my life, not because of career, but to be apart of a collective skate community as a hole. Thanks to Gregg and many more amazing people. I will never forget the raw feeling entering what became the start of it all.
@with.witt is self made in all his success from @originalgoodtimes @goodtimesintelligenceagency to everything else his done. However, the opportunities and chances Gregg has given to so many of us is something I will forever appreciate.

Thank you Gregg, love you brother.

(Part one of two) 2nd place pro debut that became a career thanks to my friend @with.witt Being injured for over two years after a accident has given time to reflect and appreciation for the great people, and amazing things that happened along the way. So here is a history rant..
My first years in skating was the motivation traveling trough Europe to skate different ramps, and the few euro contest. The contest was more a meeting point to skate with good friends from all over the world. Getting a 1st, and 2nd plc in amateur world championships was completely unexpected as I was qlueless to my level, because I always had to catch up to my friends that started a few years ahead of me. After a contest in Belgium a few of us took a train to Marseille, skatepark were we met this American named Gregg. He just had a bad run in so I invited Gregg to come Norway to get sorted. After Gregg visited Norway he invited me to visit him in the US and skate his ramp in Winona, Minnesota. And a few months later I was on a flight to Minneapolis.

Gregg was so cool to let me stay and skate his ramp in Winona. I was blown away over the big transitions on his ramp compared to euro ramps. It became normal to learn two tricks or more a week because of the big transitions. The only time I asked to ride for a company was @originalgoodtimes but not everyone except Gregg was feeling a euro dude with only a new trick arsenal. Non of it mattered, I still skated with Gregg every day, and went on the infamous crazy Goodtimes demo tour through US. To support Gregg was more important than anything, because I saw how he helped so many..and I thought his a teen like me and runs a skate company, and arranges a tour for all of us. I saw Gregg produce anything from cutn and sow clothes, to produce boards, and he stay up all night working calling Europe for board sales, and still skate amazing the next day. Shot and cut this for @ursmag @tamir_ali_ and @mostarrofficial @monstariam. Was an amazing time in Sharjah, a nice change of pace from Kuwait. Hanging out @adildyani, @yufotrickster, @raybeatbox, @mansouralsafran, and others. This is one of my favs as I had full creative freedom and just shot what I thought looked dope. This is also my fav time period for filmmaking. Just doing stuff with my bro and traveling to shoot events. I am a much better shooter and cutter now but this defo holds up. Part 3. Some history behind the (wr)- world record project @guinnessworldrecords 2018. In the actual record attempt I saw that I was heading for a landing further down then the one foot mandatory landing spot. I tried a last second bail out to get out of the situation but it was to late. As I hit transition instead of my normal landing bank it was to flat and as I attempted to get to my kneepads one of my shoes hocked into the wood. And it threw my upper body into a over rotation head first. So after a drop from 9.5m the over rotation sent me another 12 more meters down to the bottom. The side of my body and face took the final impact and knocked me out cold. I woke up mid facial surgery being told what happened, also a blown out shoulder that needed surgery next. It was a huge blow to not get another chance at it and get defeated by a accident, it made me furious to not knowing when a next opportunity could appear. However am super grateful to our everyone involved and I know we gave it our all, and it was nothing else we could have done different under close to impossible circumstances. #thorehoffwindern @jonaszzzen @gtk4life #matteoattanasio @duscetti @jtlah by @adildyani
