Q: What's your favourite Maas series? I did it! 🤩 I finally read Crescent City! And it wasn't *just* because of the new ACOTAR books. Just kidding. That was the only reason 😅 I started House of Earth and Blood a few years ago, but couldn't get past the first chapter. This time, I HAD to read them to be able to continue my favourite series without context, and I figured - you know what? Just read. Don't think about the world building or the magic system or the classes. Just read. And that did it 🥳 They were pretty great, too! I have to say a certain side romance had me absolutely hooked compared to Bryce and Hunt 🤣 I'm curious to see where this series will go once the focus shifts from Bryce and Hunt's story. Overall, I gave the books 4 stars 🍁 by @adiscourseofbooks
🍁 Q: Have you braved reading Onyx Storm yet? (No spoilers please!) I read Fourth Wing a couple of years ago, immediately followed by Iron Flame. What a (dragon) ride! 🥹 They were so good, and I really liked the build-up of the plot and romance, balanced with a great cast of side and minor characters. However - I just cannot bring myself to finish Onyx Storm! With all the reels and posts about how much it hurt, how many tears people cried and so forth I am SCARED 🤣 I started it around the release date, but I can guarantee I will NOT be finishing it until the next book is out 🙈 For now, I am trying to get my own dragon in the threshing, but I keep dying 😩⚔️ by @adiscourseofbooks
Hi Bookstagram - I'm back! 😱🌼 Well, that was one heck of an hiatus. My last post was in 2022, and I'd aged almost 4 years since I updated my age in my bio. I'm not sure half of you will remember me, or who's even active anymore. 😅 My life has changed quite a bit since I last saw you guys. Please send me a dm and catch up if you remember me! Hoping to get to know people 💛 So I thought I'd start out by reintroducing myself! Hello - I'm Fran. I'm from Norway, and very soon to be 28 years old! 🌼 I have two cats - one Sphynx and one Devon Rex - and they are my babies 🙈 Some of my favourite books are pictured. Obviously I'm an #ACOTAR girlie 💁🏼‍♀️✨ But above all I'm a #Valkyrie ⚔️ I'm also a huge Ice Planet Barbarians lover, and an old but really good favourite is The Host. The last few years I have read Lola & The Millionaires probably twice a year 🤣 #teammatthieu Other than books and reading, I love to play Playstation and board games! I also studied creative writing, and hope to one day write a book.. but I haven't actually written in years. Writer's struggle 😪 Anyways, that's a really quick about me. Don't hesitate to reach out and let's talk books or life 🍁💛 by @adiscourseofbooks
Waaaa hi everyone 🥺✨ It's been a WHILE. How are you? What have you been reading? Are you okay? 🧡 ✨🧡✨ Life's been good, though. I got a new job (it's just a 1 year temp, but it's full time at least!), and I'm loving it. Everyone was so welcoming, and it's nice to have a steady job with the same hours every day. 🥺 I've worked shifts ever since I got my first job, and although it comes with some freedom, it's also tough sometimes! 🙈 And I've been reading! 🤩 And reading. And reading. Seriously though. I've read every single day this year, finishing multiple books a week. Last year, I read a maximum of 2-3 books a month. 😳 I'm absolutely loving it, though. My passion for books has really blossomed, and I've also started writing a bit again. 🧡 I hope my passion continues at this pace, but it's also okay if I have to slow down again. 😌 Special thanks to miss Ruby Dixon, whose books I've been eating up. 🙈 What a ride. Now I've started J. Bree's series: the Bonds that Tie! ✨ I'm hoping I can make a comeback to bookstagram, but I think it's gonna have to be for myself this time, as a place to share my reads and catch up with friends. Not a popularity contest or a need to gain followers. It's got to be fun too, not feel like a chore 🌼 If we've never talked before - dm me! If we haven't talked in a while - dm me! I want to know how you're doing 🧡 I've missed you guys! I want to use up my old photos I have in storage, and I'll be planning a new theme while I do! ✨ by @adiscourseofbooks
Happy monday! 🍁✨ ~✨What have you been reading this weekend?✨~ I just finished The Curse of the Gods which is a series by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington! It's 5 short books, and I absolutely loved them all 🥰 This is the Illumicrate Edition of The Wolf and the Woodsman by #avareid ✨ and a pin inspired by the book itself 🧡 Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and I wish you all the best of weeks 🤩✨ by @adiscourseofbooks
BOOK TOUR 🍁 ~✨Based on your battery percentage, your new magical skill (from Cast in Firelight) is….✨~ 1-20% 💚 Green Forte, the ability to create and manipulate wood and plant life 21-40% 🤍 White Forte, the ability to create and manipulate ice and snow 41-60% 🧡 Orange Forte, the ability to manipulate and heighten senses and the body’s physical capabilities 61-80% ❤️ Red Forte, the ability to create and manipulate fire 81-100% 🖤 Black Forte, the ability to camouflage and cast illusions ･ ｡ﾟ☆: *.☽ .* :☆ﾟ. OKAY BUT LISTEN. One of my favourite reads from last year was Cast in Firelight by @danaswiftbooks and today I am absolutely blessed to be joining @tbrbeyondtours for the book tour of Bound by Firelight, the second book! 🥰 This is a YA Fantasy with a dash of romance, a total badass of a heroine and a well-developed and original magic system. The first book also features some of my favourite tropes, including enemies to lovers, arranged marriage and a competetive relationship. I can’t wait to dive into the second book. 🤩 If you’re curious to learn more about the books, or Dana, you should check out the schedule for the rest of this tour on ( https://tbrandbeyondtours.com ) ･ ｡ﾟ☆: *.☽ .* :☆ﾟ. #BoundbyFirelight #TBRBeyondTours #DanaSwift #booktour #booktourpost #castinfirelight #wickery by @adiscourseofbooks
Good day 🍁✨ ~✨What is a book, duology, trilogy or series you absolutely HAVE to read this year?✨~ For me, that's definitely Sands of Arawiya. This duology has so many fans, and I see raving reviews all the time on Bookstagram. 🤩✨ I also hope to read Dune this year, and Crescent City (I still haven't read the first one ooops) 🥴 Now, I've got about 10 minutes worth of reading left of Ice Planet Barbarians, and then I'll be done with all 22 books and short stories! Review to come hopefully this week! 🍁 Happy monday, and I hope everyone has a great week 🧡✨ ✨🧡✨ #sandsofarawiya #hafsahfaizal #wehunttheflame #wefreethestars #bookstagram #autumnvibes #bookishautumn #bookpin #illumicrate #bookboxitems by @adiscourseofbooks
Hi everyone 🍁✨ ~✨How are you? How was your holiday, your New Years? Did you read anything great?✨~ Phew, what a break! I didn't even plan on taking one, yet here I am what, like two months later? 😳 I was planning to return to booksta sooner, but life got in the way, but here I am! 🧡 I'm so excited to catch up with everyone and talk about books again! I've been kicking off 2020 with lots of reading. All I have to say is: Ice Planet Barbarians. 🥴 Well, I actually have way more to say about the series than that, but I think I want to do a review of the whole series (all 22 books+novellas). 🤣 I know lots of people are curious about the series, and probably have questions about the length and how the series holds up after a few books. Sneek peek though... I've been loving it. I've already read 17 and a half books this year - and my total goal for the year was 25. Although they're short books, that's still a huge accomplishment for me. ~✨Have you read any IBP books? What did you think?✨~ ✨🍁✨ Anyways, I hope everyone is okay and I hope you've all had a good time while I was away. My DM's are always open if you want to catch up or get to know each other 🧡🥰 #illumicrate #rosiethorns88 #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookmug #rosiethorns88mug by @adiscourseofbooks
