Coming to America! Today, August 31, marks our 38th anniversary of arriving on United States 🇺🇸 soil, our new home, the land of Freedom and Opportunity! We had escaped the Communist regime. I feel so blessed and so grateful to be here after so many years.
In this picture it was our last Sunday in August in our hometown church of Cugir, Romania 🇷🇴, with my aunt and uncle before we (me, my brother Sorin Nicula and my mom Eugenia Nicula ) left Romania 🇷🇴 to come to the United States 🇺🇸 to reunite with my Dad Ion Nicula after we had not seen my dad for two years. We left everything behind, and came with each two luggage’s in our hands. My Dad, a courageous man and my hero, left in 1986 and escaped the communist regime in search for freedom and opportunity. God saved his life through dangerous circumstances and eventually brought us here through his sacrifice and courage. My mom also endured persecution and hardship after my dad had escaped and though the communist government tried to keep us apart, they could not. God worked things out so that on August 31st, 1988 we were allowed to leave the country and come to the USA 🇺🇸. I will be forever grateful to God for my parents for their sacrifices they endured to bring us here. Thank you Mom @eugenianicula Eugenia Nicula and Dad @ion.nicula.73 Ion Nicula for all that you’ve done. Thank you 🙏 God for all the blessings . I love this country! God bless the USA 🇺🇸🥳❤️#comingtoamerica #godblesstheusa #blessedandgrateful #freedomisneverfree #communismisbad by @aditeles

Until today my family continues to be blessed by God through the faith of one man, who courageously took the risk and went by faith, crossing the border of the communist regime, knowing that forward is the only way to go, there was no going back, only in a box. We still reap the blessings. Proverbs 20:7 The righteous man who walks in his integrity—blessed are his children after him!” Thank you Dad @ion.nicula.73 for being the example for us to follow. May God bless you and keep you as long as your days are ordained upon this Earth. Love you 😘 Dad. @ion.nicula.73 by @aditeles
