I started to do @pavlovvisuals Domestika course (which I highly recommend!) and fell in love with his incredible illustrations, so decided to animate ‘Meet Your Maker’.

Was very fun to work with Ryan on this, all made in After Effects with lots of frame by frame bits, faux 3D. The timesaving Overlord by @battleaxedotco came in super handy as always 👾 Added a bit if Sound Design in Logic to finish it off.

I created this bouncing car for ‘Bounce’ by @aitch for his Radio 1 Big Weekend set last year. I used a set up of 3 nulls, on the front tyres, back tyres and at the centre point. I then used 3 parallel lights and an adjustment layer with a camera wiggle on.

Back in 2022 (which feels like yesterday but was 4 years ago!), I made a visualiser for each of the tracks on the Bloom EP by @mafromafromafro

I love the release and had a lot of fun working on the project. The main shape in each video is one layer in After Effects with keyframes on the path, then various textures layered on top.

BeatGrid by @battleaxedotco is one of my favourite plugins, and this made life much easier to line up all the keyframes. I also used SoundKeys to convert the audio to keyframes and then linked the shapes to that using expressions.

Since 2022 I’ve been collaborating with the mighty @gardnauk on many different projects. I’ve created 3 sets of live visuals, time coded songs, over 100 individual animations for VJs to use during shows and festivals, lyric videos, packshot animations, animated event posters and more…

Back in July, I was lucky enough to marry the incredible @_emmarostron ❤️ we had the most amazing day surrounded by everyone we love, we created and made everything ourselves, and it was so nice to see it all come together on the day.

I’ve been terrible at posting on Instagram so I’m trying to get back to it! At the end of last year I had the pleasure of animating the Boomtown Fair branding again.

Holiday walks with the beautiful @_emmarostron ☀️ 28 different clips shot around Polzeath and Port Isaac during a weekend getaway. Shot on an iPhone 15 (Shamefully), coloured with the assistance of the wizard @gearle__ and then edited in After Effects. Really enjoyed putting this together and grateful for Emma’s patience at constantly being asked to walk in a straight line 🙌
