Truth is—I never had an Alpha mentor growing up.

I wasn’t introduced to the brotherhood through stories or legacy. The rituals didn’t surround me, and the traditions weren’t passed down in my household. But somewhere along the way, curiosity led me to purpose. The more I researched, the more I observed, the more I understood—Alpha wasn’t something to mimic, it was something to embody.

What I found in Alpha 🧱 wasn’t performance. It wasn’t the strolls, the chants, or the hype.
It was responsibility. It was refinement.
Alpha Phi Alpha became a mirror—reflecting both the man I was and the man I was becoming.

The 💡Prestigious Pi Delta chapter (1983), you will always be part of my story.
Two years. Countless hours. Countless dollars. Countless lessons.
I gave you everything I had—my effort, my leadership, my creativity, my flaws—and in return, you gave me growth. I pray I’ve stewarded your name well. I hope my service spoke louder than my title(s) ever could.

To 💡 R.E.B.I.R.T.H.,
We were different by design—different minds, different gifts, different ways of moving. And somehow, through all of that, we honored this brotherhood in spaces where it wasn’t always easy. God handpicked y’all for me, and I wouldn’t rewrite it if I could. LOVE YALL FOREVER!!!!!

Accomplishments: 2023–2024
💡Vice President
💡Treasurer
💡Associate Editor of The Sphinx
💡Dean of Membership
💡Financial Secretary
2024–2025
💡Financial Secretary
💡Chapter Photographer (💀)
💡Assistant Area Director, Area 5

This was never just about standing out—
It was always about standing up. For the principles. For the work. For the man I promised Alpha I’d be.

Manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind—always.

🍎The University of West Alabama

I’ve been sitting here trying to find the right words, but honestly... there aren’t enough.

I once told a group of incoming students, “West didn’t need me — I needed West.” And now, standing at this finish line, I know that was the truth.

God opened doors for me here that I couldn’t have even dreamed of. West was the place where I grew, stretched, healed, and became.

It wasn’t always easy.
I faced heartbreak — I’ve missed family moments because of leadership obligations.
I learned that growth costs you something real. But I also learned that every sacrifice was building something bigger than me.

If you’re reading this and you feel unseen, misunderstood, or tired — you are not alone. Keep pushing. God sees you.

My biggest honor? Serving as the 79th President of the UWA Student Government Association. But the titles were never the point. Becoming who God called me to be — that was the real win.

Some milestones along the way:
▪️ UWA Student Ambassador
▪️ Blue Key Honor Society
▪️Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (ΠΔ Chapter, SPR ‘23)
▪️Resident Assistant (Gilbert Hall, 23–24)
▪️SGA Attorney General (23–24)
▪️NPHC Secretary (23–24)
▪️Dean’s List & President’s List
▪️GRIT Award (College of Education)
▪️Golden Paw Award (Housing)
▪️Hall Director (Reed + Patterson, 24–25)
▪️Graduating Cum Laude

Thank you, West, for being exactly what I needed. Not everything made sense in the moment — but it was all in my best interest 🌟. -AdonisMikel (ElementaryEducation B.S.) #BestInterest #UWA #Graduation #FromAtmoreToTheWorld #SGAPresident by @adonismikel_
