☀️Daycations Give Shelter Dogs a Break..You Can Help!☀️Did you know you can stop by the shelter @animals_clt and take a dog out for a fun day or even just a couple hours? It’s easy, free, and makes a huge difference for these pups!📍 Where?Swing by 8315 Byrum Drive or 2700 Toomey Avenue during public operating hours.🐶 What Can You Do?Take a dog on an adventure! Some ideas:✅ Go for a walk at a park✅ Grab a pup-friendly lunch and have a picnic✅ Stroll through Home Depot or Lowe’s (most allow dogs!)✅ Relax at home for some cuddle time✅ Treat them to a pup cup from Starbucks or a local ice cream shop🚫 We don’t recommend dog parks for safety reasons.🔑 What You Need:✔ A valid driver’s license or official ID✔ Sign a waiver✔ Bring the dog back at least 15 minutes before the shelter closes📸 Spread the Word!Take photos while you are out and share on social media—tag friends, family, and coworkers! UPDATE: ADOPTED!!🚨 URGENT: BELLA NEEDS A FOSTER, ADOPTER OR RESCUE BY 5/20 🚨 Animal ID: A1263053Bella is the sweet girl we helped late one Sunday night after someone posted about her on NextDoor. She had been sitting alone at a construction site for two days, waiting for her family to come back for her. 💔When we arrived, Tucker K-9 Search & Rescue was already there patiently working to gain her trust. After a couple of hours, she was safely trapped and we brought her home for the night.Bella slept peacefully in our garage with no barking, no whining, and no accidents in her crate. The next morning, we took her to @animals_clt In the interaction room, Bella was calm, gentle, and trusting. She laid her head at my feet and simply rested. While we were there, she showed no reaction to other dogs or people.We followed up after and the shelter said she was reclaimed by her owner but the owner returned her back to the shelter a few days later. ‼️Foster or Adopter needed ASAP forWaffles & Genesis with @animalcityhaven Rescue🧇❤️🌎‼️My husband and I used to walk these two pups at the shelter, and they were always so goofy and incredibly sweet. Waffles was constantly rolling onto his back, completely carefree, while Genesis would stand nearby, patiently and lovingly watching him. You could instantly see how much they loved each other — and how much they loved people.They once shared a life with an owner who loved them deeply and stayed devoted to them through homelessness. They were cherished, protected, and very clearly loved.After their owner’s passing, they went to the shelter where @animalcityhaven stepped up for them the day before they were scheduled to be euthanized, giving them a second chance.They have now been waiting in foster care for years. Their current foster is not able to continue fostering and they need a new foster or adopter now.They urgently need a foster or adopter ASAP. They are a low key pair of pups with a calm demeanor.They can be fostered or adopted, and they can be placed separately if needed.
