RUMI’S JOURNEY: FROM MUMBAI TO CHANDIGARH

Rumi came into my life after her previous family could no longer care for her. They travelled all the way from Pune to Mumbai to surrender her to me, and she stayed with me for 2 months. 🤍

I started looking for her forever home, and honestly, a part of me thought, “If I don’t find the right family, I’ll keep her forever.”

I received several adoption enquiries, but my heart wasn’t convinced. I didn’t want just any home for her. I wanted HER home.

And then, one night, I got a call from @andy.at.aura , all the way from Chandigarh.

I’ll be honest, sending Rumi so far away scared me. I had a hundred questions and so many doubts. But Andy patiently answered them, gave me the reassurance I needed, and waited while I took my time making this decision.

A huge thank you to @jellyfishpottery for connecting Andy with Rumi, and to @krishnatamaliyavora for helping me with the train tickets and supporting us throughout this journey. ❤️

After weeks of planning, Rumi and I finally travelled from Mumbai to Chandigarh. And when we reached Aura and saw Andy, Anaya, and all her furry friends welcoming her with so much love, my heart finally felt at peace.

We spent two beautiful days together, and I still can’t put into words how grateful I am for the home you’ve given her, Andy. Thank you for choosing her, loving her and making her part of your family.

Sometimes, this journey feels heavier than I can explain.

There are days when I feel exhausted, helpless, and wonder if I should stop helping animals altogether. The pain, the struggles, the constant worry, and the feeling that I can never do enough can be overwhelming. Sometimes, I feel like giving up, not because I don’t care anymore, but because I care so much that it hurts.

But then I look into their little eyes, and I just can’t walk away. How can I give up on the ones who have no one else to turn to?

And somewhere deep in my heart, there is a little dream that refuses to fade away. A dream of creating a safe place for all my babies, a place where they will never have to feel unwanted, where they will always have food, warmth, love, and a little corner to call their own. A place where getting adopted is a blessing, but not getting adopted never means being left behind.

Maybe not every animal I rescue will find a forever family, and that’s okay. I just want them to know that if the world never chooses them, I will still choose them. They will always have a place in my heart, and someday, I hope to give them a place they can call home, for as long as they wish to stay.

I don’t know how long this journey will be, how many times my heart will break, or how much strength it will take to keep going. But I know one thing: this dream is bigger than my exhaustion, and my love for them is bigger than my desire to give up.

Until that little dream becomes a reality, I will keep trying, one life at a time. Because every little soul deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and home.

FROM TEDDY TO MURPHY ADOPTION STORY!!!
Teddy was born along with his three siblings in a home where their parents weren’t neutered. When the family reached out for help finding homes for the kittens, I decided to take up their case because I couldn’t risk these innocent babies ending up abandoned later. I also requested the family to get both their cats neutered to prevent more unwanted litters.

And then came Teddy’s turn!

While I was travelling for another adoption, @aleshaa.rm reached out and opened her heart to this little boy. His foster dropped him off at his new home, where he was welcomed with so much love and care. And just like that, Teddy became MURPHY!

But the best surprise? He found himself an amazing feline brother, Miso, who takes such good care of him! The two are now busy playing all day, keeping their mom, dad, and little human brother entertained.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing voiceless babies find families where they are genuinely loved and cherished. Knowing Murphy is safe and has a beautiful life ahead means I can focus on helping more little souls find their forever homes.

Little Pia and her sister Noor were taken off the streets by someone who thought they were breed dogs. Sadly, instead of caring for them, they were kept in the worst possible conditions.

We couldn’t stand by and watch them suffer, so we immediately rescued both sisters and moved them into a safe home foster.

Thankfully, Noor has found her forever home. But little Pia is still waiting.

And now, we’re running out of time.

Her foster period is ending very soon, and if we cannot find her a home, Pia may have to be shifted to a shelter.

Just look at her. She is only 2 months old. She deserves a warm bed, a loving family, a safe home and someone who will promise to never abandon her.

Does a tiny puppy like Pia really deserve to grow up in a shelter when she could be growing up in a loving home?

✨️ ADOPTION ALERT✨️ From the garbage to a loving home.

These two month old indies were found in the garbage by some sanitation workers. They called @adoptwithanish and he in turn asked me if I'd be willing to foster one. I said give me both.

They've been with me for a week now and I can't explain to you how cute and adorable they are.

🖤 Pia is a bhukkad - all she cares about is food. And cuddles. Shes a beauty and settled immediately as soon as she's held or given food. Most of the time though shes sleeping (as puppies should). Shes also very smart and has already figured out that she has to pee and poop on the pee mat! What a smartie.

🤍 Noor is a chiller. On the first day she cried so much but thats because she was anxious. Once she settled, shes been nothing but amazing. She's the alpha in the relationship between the sisters for sure. And is curious to no bounds. She bunny hops around the room and sniffs at everything. She also is a smartie and has started to poop and pee on the pee mat.

Ready for Adoption: Leo🐾

Leo our sweet boy had been rescued with his siblings and mom. Each battling tick fever and or distemper, his sister and him are two strong survives!

@raksha.animals has been looking after him since he was rescued. From a 3 week training course at @mitalisboardandtrain to his medical requirements, Raksha Foundation has treated him like family and looked after his every need.

Leo our special boy has a Neurological condition which makes his hallucinate flies, and sweet baby simply jumps up to catch them.

He has a great temperament and is well accustomed to other dogs, humans and cats! He simple needs a family that will make sure he gets his regular vet visits, homeopathy medication for his condition and of course… LOTS of cuddles and kisses💖
