Ever notice how we went from relationship goals to relationship no’s?

The internet relationship pendulum has swung to prioritizing self in marriage but a kingdom marriage calls you to do the opposite, regardless of what your partner deserves. That’s a concept the world can’t comprehend.

The truth is, I’m not always the best wife and Brandon isn’t always the best husband, but we continue to choose each other, especially in the moments it matters most. That choosing is made possible through prayer, the word, wise counsel and a village that does not PLAY when it comes to covenant!

First week of school complete ✅

First time elementary parents and we learned SO much about morning routines, expectations, before and after school, and that DREADFUL car line 🥴 IYKYK

Will continue to adapt without completely crashing out because who is this IMPOSTER of a child and where is my itty bitty baby?!

Pray for Maverick, he and only he is NOT okay 😅

7 Years ago today two became one. It is said that 7 years is a great milestone in a marriage, not totally sure why… Maybe because it’s the number of completion? Maybe because there are 7 days in a week? Or maybe because… *insert something deep and philosophical here*
Whatever the reason is, one thing is certain, we’ve experienced alot of what marriage has to offer in these 7 years, good, bad, up, down, all of that. But we remain strong and happy.

Many don’t know the mountains we face and deal with just to keep our family unit strong and provided for during the uncommon season we are in but we keep PUSHING, keep PRAYING, and keep PAYING all the bills 🤣🤣. I couldn’t pick a better partner to do it with.

I’m thankful for these few days we’ve spent reliving life before kids, just us, hanging out in whatever city we are in, enjoying each other. We LOVE our kids but we appreciate small breaks from parenting to just be husband and wife.

JESUS every time 💖💙 😇🐣

Mila asked questions today. In church, a video depiction of the crucifixión was played and it stirred restlessness in her. We listened and answered to the best of our ability, with honesty. Truth is, the cross can’t be placated. It’s brutal and cruel and this was revealed the same week we had to inform her of her aunt’s death.

We are also grateful for the Holy Spirit, which we pray will continue to guide us in life’s hard times and remind us that death is not the end.

At the very least, Mila turned into a full-time egg-hunting professional and shoved her way to the 26 egg victory for her age group 😂🥚💨
In other words, Mila said “He is Risen… and so am I to WIN” 😭 by @adorethemccords

Today we celebrate the leader of our home, BTM.

To know you is to know that the task is going to get done and done flawlessly. That the message will be preached and done meticulously. That the family will be protected and provided for intentionally. And that what is inside of you will be invested into others gladly.

The last year you persevered through persecution and bared the burdens of the Cross in Jesus’ name. As such, may this year you “Be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

And when it happens, may we never be surprised 😉
