APPE Rotation 4: complete.

Five weeks in New York City. Five weeks at Pfizer. And an experience that genuinely changed the way I see my future in pharmacy.

I came into this rotation excited to learn something new, and I’m leaving with a completely different perspective on drug safety, the pharmaceutical industry, and just how many paths a PharmD can take.

But this experience was so much more than what I learned at work. Living in NYC, stepping outside of my comfort zone, meeting new people, exploring the city, and learning to navigate a new environment on my own made these five weeks unforgettable. I grew professionally, but even more personally.

I’m especially grateful to my preceptor, Dr. Eric Afriyie, for his mentorship, encouragement, and for challenging me to think beyond what I already knew.

NYC, you were everything I needed during this chapter. Pfizer, thank you for an experience I’ll always carry with me.

Rotation 4 is complete, but the work doesn’t stop here. On to the next chapter. 🤍
