Academic honors in high school: where straight A students cry over a 93 and spend weekends doing calculus “for fun.” And then there’s me—the kid who once forgot what day finals were and still somehow ended up on the honor roll like a glitch in the system.
I didn’t climb here with late-night study sessions and color-coded notes. I coasted on extra credit, group projects where I barely participated, and teachers who probably passed me out of pity… or exhaustion. My greatest academic achievement? Turning in an assignment on time once and celebrating like I cured cancer.
And yet, here I am—recognized alongside people who treat GPA like blood pressure. I have no idea how I got here, but I’m not asking questions. I’ll take the certificate, smile for the photo, and ride this fluke all the way to graduation.
Thanks for the honor. I’m just as surprised as you are. Setting my sources ChatGPT. by @adowdell75
