Grateful to be back on Rishiri Island after all these years. The wild, ever-changing weather makes it hard to catch those perfect days, but that’s exactly what makes them so special.

Wrong board choice. No edges holding.
Good snow up top… then a narrow couloir with ice hiding under 20cm.
Everything slid like a toboggan.

Four turns and it was over.
One of those days you don’t finish smiling.
