I never thought I’d be making this post. It’s breaking my heart just writing it and not being able to accept the fact that he’s gone. Eli and I became friends when we were just kids playing little league baseball together, he stood out of every kid because of his ability to light up the room no matter the mood people were in. We played each other in basketball which was always a good time being able to see him every now and then. We got close this past year through our little sibs program, talking almost everyday, joking around in the back of the class about whatever the circumstance was. He was a bright light in not just my life but everyone he knew. Eli meant so much to me, I always wanted to see him succeed in his football journey, and I remember just seeing Eli leave the class to go talk to a coach about football and thinking he’s gonna make it big one day. And Eli got that opportunity to play at eastern Michigan which he would’ve dominated at. Eli will forever live in our hearts and be a beam of light in a dark room.
