Who’s ready to make some POUR CHOICES? I hope reading my second mystery novel won’t be one of them 😆 Mixology Lounge Mystery #2 belongs to you now!

As I welcome POUR CHOICES into the world, I am grateful to my wonderful community of family, friends, readers, and fellow writers who show me so much love every day. I can’t wait for you to dive into this book and see what’s next for Reece, the Subplot crew, and the rest of Hope Mills! 💛

POUR CHOICES is available everywhere now. Go get your copy!

Synopsis:
When a comedy show takes a deadly turn, there’s nothing funny about it…

As a humid August heat wave descends upon the cozy town of Hope Mills, Pennsylvania, mixologist Reece Parker hosts the first-ever Comedy and Cocktails event in Subplot, his bookish speakeasy.

The evening’s talent, comedian Meghan Spencer, shakes up controversy when she takes a joke too far during her crowd work segment. But when she’s found floating in the nearby Delaware River the next morning, it’s no laughing matter.

With his best friend stirred up in the investigation, Reece takes a shot at solving Meghan’s murder. But as he sniffs out clues on his quest for justice, will he end up on the rocks himself? by @adrianandover

I had a wonderful evening at @thunderroadbooks celebrating tomorrow’s release of POUR CHOICES!

A huge thanks to @robyngigl for moderating tonight’s discussion. It was a joy to chat with you, and I can’t wait to read ALL WE HIDE (look out for her book releasing in August).

@thesaltybookworm, thank you for all you do to connect readers with books and authors with readers. You do a huge service to your community!

And to my friends and readers who came out to celebrate, thank you for spending the evening with me. I hope you get lost in the book. Happy sleuthing! 🔎📚🥃 taken in Thunder Road Books by @adrianandover

WHISKEY BUSINESS won the Agatha Award for Best First Novel last night! To win an award named after the great Agatha Christie is a huge honor—and one that will take awhile to sink in.

Thanks to the many people who have shown so much love and support for this book—from my coaches, mentors, critique partners, beta readers, editors, cover designer, proofreader, bloggers, and influencers.

Above all, thanks to the readers who took a chance on a novel from an indie debut author. I poured my heart into this book, and I thank you for allowing it into yours. I believe that, in some cosmic way, we’re together when you read it.

It’s been an incredible weekend at @malicedomestic, connecting with readers, writers, and friends. The mystery community is so incredibly supportive, and I’m grateful to be part of it. 💛 by @adrianandover

It was time for a new author photo, and I thought it’d be a great opportunity to reintroduce myself.

👋 I’m mystery author Adrian Andover

📚 I’ve published two cozy mystery novels, WHISKEY BUSINESS and POUR CHOICES

🔎 My Mixology Lounge Mystery series revolves around a literary-themed cocktail and mocktail lounge called Subplot, set in a fictional town called Hope Mills (based on real-life New Hope, PA)

🏆 WHISKEY BUSINESS won the Lefty Award and Agatha Award for Best First Novel, and it’s currently nominated for an Anthony Award in the same category.

🎸 Outside of writing, I have a passion for music. I dabble in songwriting, guitar, singing, and jump at any opportunity to attend live music events.

I’d love it if you’d introduce yourself, too! I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my stories and connect with you. 💛

I had the best time speaking with @saraheburrbooks on A Bookish Moment today (we missed you, J.C.)!

If I do say so myself, the conversation is well worth a watch (available for replay on the It’s Bookish Time TV YouTube channel), if not just for the signed book g!v3away that runs through Monday 😉

Link to watch is on my stories! by @adrianandover

File this under "I couldn't help myself"

There's a bar across the street from one of my favorite bookstores and every time I walk past their door, I read the "Pour decisions this way" sign and of course think of @adrianandover's POUR CHOICES, a cozy mystery set in a speakeasy-style bar where murder is always on the specialty cocktail/mocktail menu.

And huge apologies to Adrian Andover for my hand covering his name! For the record (record shop mysteries pun very much intended) it was really hard to get this shot while my other arm was full of books. by @adrianandover

I’m so grateful to live in a place where I can meet my favorite authors on a Monday night. This was my 4th year in a row seeing @harlancoben, this time in conversation with rock photographer @dannybones64.

Harlan’s latest book PLOT TWIST is part memoir and part writing craft book, and I can’t wait to dive in. As a writer myself, I know that the work of writing is never done. It’s something one practices, not achieves. As I continue to roll up my sleeves and get to work at my keyboard, books like these inspire me to keep going.

Special thanks to @thunderroadbooks for hosting this event. @thesaltybookworm, you and your team have done it again! 💛📚 by @adrianandover

Happy birthday, WHISKEY BUSINESS! 🎉🥃📚🔎

As grateful as I am for any awards or recognition that this book has received, I’m most proud of the way this book has connected me with others. To my critique partners, beta readers, editors, booksellers, fellow writers, and (most importantly!!) readers, I am so grateful that this story brought us together.

In this video, I share a semi-short, semi-rambly reflection on what this pst year has meant to me. by @adrianandover

Big thanks to @jenjchow, author of the L.A. Night Market Mysteries and the Magical Fortune Cookie novels, for sharing kind words about my novel WHISKEY BUSINESS! 💛

WHISKEY BUSINESS has been in the world for nearly a year, and I am in constant disbelief by how much it’s been embraced. Between winning a Lefty Award and an Agatha Award, and being nominated for an Anthony Award—not to mention the countless emails, comments, and kind words from readers at conferences and book signings—I am in awe at how a story from my heart has reached so many people.

I’ve been taking a bit of a break this summer, but I can’t wait to reconnect with you this fall. I have lots to share and so many more stories to tell. by @adrianandover

I hope you’re all staying cool during this heat wave! 🥵

POUR CHOICES takes place during a heat wave, so it’s the perfect opportunity for some immersive reading!

I hope you’re able to sleuth along with Reece with the comfort of air conditioning or while basking in the heat, if that’s your thing.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and happy reading! by @adrianandover
