@weirdbloomboy Luca Di Cataldo è un artista di psych pop e bubble glam con sede a Roma. Il progetto, nato nel 2015 (precedentemente noto come Weird Black), vanta tre album all’attivo: Hy Brazil (2016), Blisstonia (2018, distribuito da Rough Trade East, Brick Lane) e l’acclamato Stargate (2024). Il progetto è caratterizzato da un uso eccentrico di chitarre saturate, dove le melodie psych hippie di Luca si muovono su un muro di armonie e pulsanti groove di batteria dei primi anni ’70 .

La traiettoria internazionale della band è stata segnata da tappe significative, tra cui diverse apparizioni al SXSW di Austin e altre importanti esibizioni internazionali includono l’Eurosonic 2018 (Paesi Bassi) e The Great Escape 2018 (UK).
Tre intensi tour europei, nel 2019, 2022 e 2025 e tante date in Italia nei club e in importanti festival.

La formazione eterogenea messa insieme da Luca vede ora Adriano Bartoccini alla batteria, Mattia Micalich al basso, Edoardo Elia, David Comanducci e Lorenzo Masini alle chitarre. Mentre l'album del 2024 Stargate è diventato un immediato successo underground— esaurendo la prima tiratura e arrivando a una seconda ristampa tramite Hell Nation—la band sta già guardando avanti. Il loro nuovo disco, "Wrong Time, Wrong Place” è uscito qualche giorno fa per la Wild Honey Records. Questo nuovo lavoro spinge i confini della loro identità sonora, evolvendosi ulteriormente in una miscela distintiva di junk-shop, bubble glam e pub music.

Every single time we arrive at a venue, people look at us kind of weird. But the moment the first chord hits, they start to smile 🍦Our music comes straight from that British dirt, and seeing their loyalty to those who leave everything on stage—without saving a single drop of sweat—is the ultimate reward. That’s what pays off for every mile on the road.
Thank you to every single maniac who showed up, drank with us, and made us feel at home in the middle of the noise. We came to bring you 60 minutes of pure trash and you gave us back pure chaos.
