From a Erasmus to a whole lifestyle... 🌍✨
This is the story of how I started traveling and how it completely took over my life🤎
If you told my younger self that I’d be traveling the world solo, living out of a backpack, and currently calling Bali my temporary home, I would have never believed you.

It became my identity❤️‍🔥
How did your travel journey start?

Was it a planned move or a sudden impulse? Drop your story below! 👇

Hi, I’m Adri, I’m 22, and on September 1st, 2024, I boarded a plane for the very first time and started traveling. Since then, I’ve been to 18 countries, and I’m still going💃🏽🌺
How did I do it? Here are my tips❤️‍🔥

1. Be a student👨🏻‍🎓
Everything is cheaper + Erasmus exists👩🏼‍🎓Go😉

2. Student programs or high-income jobs abroad🧑🏼‍🎓
Work & Travel, internships, anything abroad…earn more than you would at home - if you are from low income countries 🥹😉

3. Don’t pay rent (if you can avoid it)
Live with your parents. Rent kills your budget when you’re young.

4. SAVE SAVE SAVE💰
Before the trip AND during the trip. Always💵

5. Volunteering (Worldpackers / Workaway)🧉🥂
You can work for hostel for example - 20 hours a week = free accommodation, friends, community, living in your dream country for “free”, no visa, food and other benefits sometimes🥰

6. Slow travel 🐌
Flights + transport are the biggest expense. Move less, stay longer.
🌺Adri hack - national flights are cheaper than buses sometimes😉

7. Choose cheap countries🌚🌝
South America & Asia & Africa > Europe, USA, Australia - travel hard countries first😉

8. Content creation✨
Hostels, gyms, brands NEED content.
Barter collab = money saved = more travel🏄🏼‍♀️

9. Eat local🍱
It’s so easy - you have google reviews😉

10. Be flexible🤸‍♂️
Don’t fixate on destinations follow cheap flights, travel countries that are next to each other✈️

11. (Optional) Find a rich husband 💅

Send it to your friend who wants to travel and save for later💗

Hi I am Adri, I am 22 and traveled 4 LATAM countries alone🌺🫶🏻

UNPOPULAR OPINION: I don’t think South America is as dangerous for tourists as people think🤞🏻

Why?
Most tourists move between the same places: airport, bus terminal, hostel, tourist areas🚕🚌🚠🚆✈️
I’m not randomly walking into dangerous neighborhoods alone.
You can explore, but you also need to use common sense😉
And how did I stay safe???
1. The risks for locals and tourists are not always the same.
Yes, you will see missing person posters and scary stories.
But many cases involve local situations that tourists are not part of.
If I’m visiting a city for 3 days, I’m not automatically a target.

2. NEVER TRUST PEOPLE.

If someone you just met at a bar invites you somewhere random, think twice.
I go out with people I know and trust… because you never know😉

3. YOU DON’T HAVE TO TELL THE TRUTH.
If someone asks: “Are you here alone?” you don’t have to say yes.
“I’m here with my friends”
You don’t owe strangers personal information😉

4. SOLO TRAVEL DOESN’T MEAN BEING ALONE.
Join activities, volunteer at a hostel, join a run club or local events.
Find places where you can meet other travelers and expats. Or use NomadTable😉
You don’t have to do everything alone.

5. STAY IN PUBLIC AREAS.
One thing I realized while traveling is that many places around the world are full of people.
You’re rarely completely alone when you’re walking around cities, especially in busy areas.
If you stay where people are around, you usually feel much safer☺️😇

Before going to South America, I honestly imagined it would be completely different. I thought I would be in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by desert and nothing else. But noooo🙈There are beautiful, modern cities just like anywhere else😍😍
Yes, there is more crime in some places, but if you use common sense, you can avoid many risks and stay safe😉

Admiring the art of architecture🤍

My fav airport so far❤️‍🔥 I KNOW I said Medellín felt like The Hunger Games… but this airport somehow feels even more like it 😂

If you’re travelling around Asia, add Singapore to your bucket list. Even if you only have 1–2 days it is worth it 🤍✈️

Love you🫶🏻

SAVE THIS📌
THERE ARE NO VIDEOS ABOUT THIS PLACE ONLINE(yet)😉

If he doesn’t ask for money, I believe him❤️‍🩹

I found out about this healer completely by chance, and this place is SO hidden that I had the hardest time finding it🙈

He also does traditional reflexology…he touches different points on your feet that are supposedly connected to different parts of your body🦶🏻

I didn’t tell him what I thought was wrong with me. I wanted to see what he would find himself👄🦶🏻

He was pressing my feet SO hard, and then he found one spot that was absolutely excruciating😣
Apparently, it was connected to my neck… which was so weird because I’ve never had neck pain.
But then I started thinking…could it actually be stress or tension? 👀
But the whole experience was WILD❤️‍🔥

Would you try it? 👀

📩 Send this to a friend in Bali who would try reflexology and maybe going to Bali💗 taken in Ubud by @adrien.abroad
