7 👏 YEARS 👏 SOBER 👏 TODAY!!!

Jumping, dancing, singing...stomping, screaming, crying. 👁️ Here is my secret to making this commitment to myself and sticking to it: I no longer run from my feelings. I run straight towards them. ❤️‍🔥 🗡️Especially the dark, unsavory ones. Especially when the truths are inconvenient at best, terrifying at worst.

I clear just as much space for my rage and grief to breathe and burn as I do for my joy and laughter to blossom and bloom. 🌸

It is my deepest prayer and my most glimmering gem of hope that all people on this planet will find infinite freedom through facing and living their own truths head on. Life is truly more colorful and interesting and fun if you can find the courage to seize your birthright. 🌈

39 and genuine ✨🎂✨ every morning and every night, no matter how exhausted or worn to the bone I may feel (and trust me, with a baby and two kids it's often) I thank the universe for another day of life. 👁️

I never dreamed my life would be bursting to the brim with so many blessings:

🩷 a beautiful family
🧡 a loving, loyal and dedicated life partner and provider who is committed to growth, accountability, romance and playfulness
💛 clever and curious children who make me laugh, teach me so much and remind me again and again about the things I have forgotten (magic is real)
💚 a safe and gorgeous home surrounded by forests, animals and a friendly community
🩵 real friends to laugh, cry and shake 🍑 with
💜 my health (after a month long battle with pneumonia), delicious nutritious food, this incredible body of mine, and so many more blessings...

grateful for all the revolutionary, inspiring and authentic women who inspire me every damn day. 💃✨ you are all the definition of inner and outer beauty blended. 🪞

this shoot is a celebration of sisterhood, sustainable / animal friendly fashion, and the connection we share as women of color. 🌈

maybe my next project can be to create art like this, and celebrate all kinds of different people whom I appreciate in my life in adornment alchemizing magic while also exploring and sharing their stories! 👁️ I always have too many ideas, it’s almost paralyzing at times lol.

✨38✨ years old today! 🎂

LIFE UPDATES:

▫️ Became pregnant in January! We will be welcoming our new family member October 14 (the same day as Michael’s birthday). 🥰
▫️ Finally got engaged to the love of my life. We have let the old versions of ourselves die so we could both evolve on a new life path together. 💍
▫️ Traveled to Costa Rica for @nikimarre’s Goddess Rewilding Retreat where I faced and transmuted my own darkness with the most stunning, strong and inspiring group of women I have ever met. ❤️‍🔥
▫️ Celebrated Apollo’s 3rd birthday! 🏎️
▫️ Took the kids to Disneyland for the first time ever!
▫️ Recharged our batteries in San Diego over spring break with my parents.
▫️Returned to Truckee and kicked off my birthday celebrations dining out with friends and enjoying live music for the first time in a long time.

I’ll be going more in depth later because I have A LOT to share and say. But for now I’ll just say…thank you to everyone who has made this past year the most luminous, transformative and real one yet. I love you.

This year I became pregnant for the third time, got engaged, bought a house, released deep shame from my adolescence, celebrated ecstatically, lost one of my twins and had grief rock me to my core, got down with a full moon pregnant belly on the dance floor, spiritually died and was reborn several times, gave hella goddess birth and welcomed the squishiest and cutest new family member into our lives.

Thank you, year of the snake. 🐍✨🪩

I now understand on an even deeper level that my life, my family and the radiant friends surrounding me (you) are all truly such magical blessings. Thanks for being here. May the sun's rebirth make you feel new again. 🌞 Happy holidaze y'all. 🎄

TW: miscarriage / pregnancy loss

This third pregnancy has been the most powerful portal of grief, love, loss and hope.

My body’s wisdom knew I carried twins long before I saw them floating in the dark void of my womb on the sonogram screen. They entered my dreams every night, and I was enchanted by their magic.

We were over the moon and so thrilled as we prepared to welcome two spirits earth-side.

One of the twins—the girl—did not survive.

Some people tried to soothe my shattered heart by saying “well it’s a good thing it was early on” or “it was just a mass of cells anyway” (which was not only insensitive but also incorrect).

For the first time in my life, I have fully embraced grief, hurdling in headfirst into my heartbreak and not holding back. And there actually has been so much beauty alongside the pain. But it’s still hard, and I still feel sad sometimes, wishing that I could have held her in my arms just once.

It’s been one of the more complex challenges of my life so far—literally burgeoning duality within my own body, life and death, light and dark, sorrow and hope, with my sunset and sunrise twins.

Duality is something I have always struggled with. I see it reflected not just in my own sacral cradle of life, but in the world as well: death, destruction, cruelty…yet also joy, love and beauty. It’s a mindfuck for sure. But I’m learning how to focus on the new world I know is emerging, and a new reality in which we all love, honor and cherish the divinity in one another. A world in which we honor nature and realize that we are apart of Her.

And my little baby girl is there. I can feel her in the warm wind, in the hummingbirds splashing in waterfalls and butterflies quenching their thirst in damp sand. She is one with nature too.

My son, the surviving twin, looks to be healthy and thriving so far. I am overjoyed and ecstatic at his expected arrival in October. And I’ve been told he will always share a special connection to his sister, holding her hand across the veil, connected forever with her spirit.

it’s been an intense season of ✨remembering✨
that every part of me is sacred and whole,
that magic and mysticism and science are all very real,
that a rainbow of women gathering to dance under the misty mountain moon holds oceans of power,
and that rewilding my soul is the most revolutionary act I can gift to the universe. 👁️🌈💫

By popular demand, here's the video I shared to my stories of our 12 foot trippy tree! 🎄

For those of you who were wondering, we used Govee Bluetooth lights, and there are 2000 LEDs on here. We could have bought one more strand to completely cover the whole thing. It also needs more ornaments! We have a newborn and life is kinda crazy right now so at least we got this part up. 🙃

We harvested the tree from the forest here in Truckee but I guess the trees look a lot shorter outside than they do indoors. 😅
