POSTS STORIES REELS

hosted our first dinner party at the new place and it was so lovely 🥹 i love making our home a place for people to come together, make memories, and fill their bellies ❤️

on the menu was portuguese seafood rice, spanish tortilla, and frozen portuguese egg tarts from trader joe’s (not pictured) 🤭 by @adrika.eats

hi!! i’ve been gone for a while, i hope everyone is doing wonderfully!!!!! dinner was fabulous last night, and i needed to share - daikon mochi (made from scratch!!!), baked silken tofu with a cashew butter soy sauce, and stir fried boy choy 🤎

inspired by @japan_plantbased_sisters and @noah.splate by @adrika.eats

mixed berry compote, vanilla chia pudding and maple granola to top a beautiful bowl of greek yogurt + soy milk 🤍 my dreammmm breakfast fr 😻😻😻 by @adrika.eats

MONTREAL / QUEBEC CITY FOOD DUMP because wow did we eat a lot of food 😅

2-3 sexiest tamago sando & hojicha latte from @osmo_x_marusan
4 gorgeous veggie crepe from @lebilligcreperiebistro, made with buckwheat flour which made it 1000x more delicious
5-7 best date night spot and most delicious fish from @honoizakaya, still dreaming about the miso marinated salmon yakitoris
8 i ate too many almond croissants on this trip to count and one of the best was from @boulangerie_epifannyofficiel
9 @cafeolimpico my first time trying an affogato and omg my life is changed, the bitterness of the espresso with the sweetness of the pistachio gelato was 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽
10 heard a lot of good things about Restaurant Beba and was a little underwhelmed but we did love these mackerel and horseradish montaditos
11 - 12 of course had to try the famous montréal bagels at @fairmountbagel (also went to St-Viateur and we are 100% on the Fairmount train) and poutine from @restolabanquise
13 after all the heavy eats we were dying a bit and @lenigiriz saved us, actually the perfect lunch imo
14-19 AND saved the best for last. @sans_soleil_mtl and @fleurs_cadeaux was the perfect last night in montreal ❣️ the basement bar had such a nice energy, vinyl-only music and delicious drinks. upstairs, every single dish was a work of art. we would travel back to montreal just to eat the chirashi and salmon sashimi by @adrika.eats

beautifullll noodles with allllll the green things. green beans, leeks, peas, green onions 🌱🌱🌱 with fried tofu and topped with sesame seeds!!! made a huge batch and brought it to work for lunch every day last week and it was the best thing ever by @adrika.eats

i made sesame balls on tuesday for the new year and they turned out soooo delicious! i tried to be creative with a less sweet filling so the paste is just blended up black sesame powder and dates… it turned out PERFECT!! i had some extra dough so i made a couple using @fixandfogg everything butter for the filling (currently obsessed) and those were phenomenal too. the dough was 150 g glutinous rice flour, 50 g sugar, 100 ml boiling water and 1 tsp. of vegetable oil. really happy with how they turned out, will definitely be making again soon by @adrika.eats

happy chinese new year!!! orange & black sesame oats felt like an appropriate breakfast this morning 😋 wishing everyone an abundant and prosperous year ahead!! 馬年大吉 🧧🐎❤️ by @adrika.eats

a first attempt at vegetarian 麻婆豆腐 (mapo tofu)

notes:
- flavor was FANTASTIC! really appreciated getting to control the level of 麻辣. in my opinion, i nailed it. the numbing was not too overpowering
- used dried shiitake mushrooms for the mince and it was FABULOUS! can’t imagine minced beef/pork being any better
- my biggest pitfall is that i accidentally cooked most of the sauce off lol as you can tell it is drier than your traditional mapo tofu. next time i make it, ill get it right, i promise by @adrika.eats

a very comforting and nostalgic meal for me, aloo paratha with yogurt and achar. nothing compares to a warm paratha fresh off the stove, watching the steam rise as you tear it apart

making fresh roti/paratha/luchi is definitely a bengali love language, and i’m determined to learn from my mom and share that love as much as i can because i know how special it is 🤍 by @adrika.eats

since i don’t drink alcohol anyway, my version of dry january has been challenging myself to no added sugar for a month 😅 after the holidays i was fully sugared out, so it was a much needed break

i have missed all the baking i did in december though so i wanted to see what i could whip up and these cookies from @detoxinista were sooooo yummmm. not sure if i can even call them cookies since they’re mostly just blended up dates and nuts (more reminiscent of a date and fruit laddu), but topped with a lot of flaky salt these were fantastic by @adrika.eats

a simple, yet deeply delicious and comforting bowl of udon 🤍

been on a big udon kick lately!! i made a miso mushroom and leek udon last week that was killer and i needed to share since i forgot to take any pics, it was gone too quickly 🤭

i don’t make noodles super often because i absolutely dread boiling a whole pot of water LOL, anyone else? but i got a huge pack of frozen pre-cooked udon so i can just boil water in my electric kettle and pour it over the noodles and they’re good to go. i love it so much by @adrika.eats

part 2 of trying new squashes - acorn squash!!!!

found a recipe for a maharashtrian-style acorn squash curry by @signatureconcoctions with coconut, roasted peanuts, and jaggery. the flavors were phenomenal! such a divine balance of heat and sweetness which made the perfect comforting lunch :) by @adrika.eats
