Oh, my beeber girl. I’ll miss you for forever. Thank you for growing up with us. You stuck around for everything- every hard time, every move, every house until we found home; you were always there. From the beaches of Charleston to the snow of North Dakota, you went head first into any new adventure with our crazy family. Splashing in the Atlantic, cross-county road trips, jumping into Minnesotan lakes, diving into seven feet of snow- you did it all with the biggest tail wags and smiles. And of course, we’ll never forget the countless heart attacks you gave us with your Houdini-like escape tricks from every backyard and car. <3
The past few years have been hard, watching your body get older and fight harder to do the things you loved, but you stubbornly never gave up. You put up with the diapers as long as you could chow down on treats afterwards. I’m so glad you got to have such a fulfilling 16 years with us. I don’t know how I’ll get used to visiting home and not be greeted by our big orange dog (“Phebee-bee-bee-beeee!”) holding a stuffed animal in her mouth. It brings me comfort knowing you’re now able to run around, tear up stuffed animals, jump into lakes, into snow, sprint in whatever fancy dog parks you got over there. Feel the sunshine and the wind blowing through your car window. I hope you’re running around and snuggling with our Buzzy and Bauer boys.

Life isn’t fair. You deserved so much more, but we are so thankful for the five years we got with you and how much color you brought into our lives.
I will forever miss your slow blinks, your goofy tilted head, your yappy meows, your big stretches, and you sitting in your spot in the kitchen. The house feels emptier without you sprawled out sleeping somewhere.
