Great SBD day 👍💪... Just wanted to give a shout out to my Friends/Clients hard work... Since the Mock Meet a little over a month ago... everyone has progressed... Karleen has increased her total weight lifted by 24 pounds. Adrianna has increased her total weight lifted by 65 pounds from 462 to 527. Heather has progressed as a powerlifting athlete but also as a Coach w myself for these two competitors. Without her help this wouldn't be possible. Great day of PRs ...laughs..and community. If you want to obtain any of your fitness goals....why wait? Reach out and let's get started. #fitnessbyaires by @adrispinella

The day after the mock- competition is the perfect time to chase some goals. I realized my form on deadlifts needs some work; I have legs… so why don’t I actually use them during my deadlift?? No clue!! I realized while watching the videos from yesterday that this needs to change big time. Working on 225lb on these videos, but i’m going to chase that 248lb that I couldn’t get during the meet. It’s mine- I just need to keep getting closer. by @adrispinella

I can’t believe I actually got to participate in a power lifting informal yesterday. All of the work and time, the things i’ve felt from my successes, and the things learned from my failures. It’s so easy to see how much work I have in front of me, but it’s times like these that let me look behind and see how far i’ve come. I’ve had such amazing support from my trainer @ajv4787 and my amazing friends @hhrose85 and @karleencelona who share their own journeys alongside me. It’s easy to win and hard the fail; but what always makes the most difference are the failures that open the doorway to more success, they just never feel like that at the time, but they make us all human. I might as well fail doing something much greater than i’ve ever done so that next time it can feel like it’s easy!! I’m so happy I can stand next to such powerful people and consider myself one of them! by @adrispinella

We are so excited for Karleen and Adrianna to show off all there hard work tomorrow. They have put in alot of hard work with Aj completing their workouts and getting stronger. They followed the direction given by Aires to assist with nutrition and powerlifting guidance. You are both gonna kill it tomorrow and we are so proud of you. by @adrispinella

Granada, Spain- Day Three!
We booked a really great guided hike through the mountainous parts of Granada- about 20mins by car from the city.

The trail started off winding through the mountains, and then dove down to hike along the aqueduct system built by Arabian farmers hundreds of years ago.

At some points we had to climb using metal hand-holds, and even sliding on our tushies along the more narrow paths. We saw some very brave people rock climbing along the way as well!

Some of the panning shots are a bit fast since I was mainly trying to watch where I was stepping. If you are thinking- “gee, that looks like one slip means you’re dead” …well you are 100% correct-a-mundo lol by @adrispinella

Granada, Spain- day two, part two! The Flamenco show in a cave!!
What I didn’t know about Flamenco is that there is a lot of tap going on, and the louder the tapping is conveys more emotion with the song that is sung. We had amazing seats- right in front of the stage! It was pretty loud, but overall amazing! I managed to snap some great excerpts from the performance, including the guitar solo which was phenomenal. On the guitarist’s right hand, his fingernails on his finger-picking hand are very long, and his nails on his left hand that does the chords are short. He basically has fiver built-in guitar picks!! by @adrispinella

Granada, Spain- Day two!
Mostly today Adam and I explored the streets more. The first few photos are more graffiti that we came across. The cat was probably my favorite!
We walked to the ravine which looks across the river to the Alhambra, where there are many tourist shops and gelato shops to spend time.

We also walked into the city more where the bull fighting ring tales place- which is the circular building in the last video. No bullfights were going on at the time- and Adam and I decided that seeing one, even though it was part of the culture, would really just end up bumming is out in the end. The building was very grandiose however so it was worth the walk.
Instead we went to a great Flamenco show which served a four course tapas dinner in a cave! That will be in part two! by @adrispinella

Part two of Granada, Spain- Day one!
The streets have a lot of graffiti which is interesting to see meshed over the ancient architecture so I took a few photos of the ones I liked the most.
Then on Gran Via we stopped by a large park where there were many gelato shops and restaurants set out under the trees which was a good rest stop.
I did not take photos of all the food we got- but we stopped at a small restaurant called Bueno, which had great Jamon serrano and patatas bravas.
Then later on that night there are many bohemian tea and pastry shops that are open very late, so I got a honey-sesame pastry with some amazing mint- green- honey tea (best tea i’ve ever had!) and snapped a shot of the inside to try to capture how beautiful it was with the Moroccan decorum and designs.
Then the last photo is from the Starbucks on Gran Via that I found a Granada mug from their Around the World Series by @adrispinella

Granada, Spain- Day one! Our Airbnb has a really awesome spiral staircase (that you can almost die on if you aren’t careful 😅) that leads to a private balcony on the roof. The first video is the trip up to it and the view from there. There is a church right next door so we are right next to the bell tower. We had some amazing jamon-flavored Ruffles and Tinto Verano (which is red wine with sweetened fruit flavored in it similar to sangria) from a small corner store we stopped at late at night when we arrived.
The walkways are very old and amazing to look at (man Spanish people must be in amazing shape- what you aren’t hearing in these takes is Adam and me breathing heavy like a couple of fat Americans- it’s like no matter what route you take it’s ALL uphill 😆)
Then down the street downhill is El Gran Via, which is much more city-like and modern (yes there is a Burger King 😁 and we even found a KFC!).
On Gran Via there is a very large Cathedral in the middle of the city (El Catedral de Granada) which was breathtaking. We did not go inside since it was not open at the time.
Stay tuned for part 2!! by @adrispinella

@kitties_and_cake Here is a preview of the set i’m working on for you! Hopefully the shade of orange is what you had in mind. Just need to trim, sand, and throw them into the polisher. In the meantime I will work on that liquid core D20 to go with them 🥳🎲 by @adrispinella
