cada año me choca más no celebrar los cumpleaños con mis papás. no poder abrazarles y mimarles. y recordarles lo mucho que les quiero y les admiro. y a veces la gente me pregunta porque me fui tan lejos y si no me siento mal o culpable. y si si me siento terrible y odio no estar a una manejada de distancia de ellos. compartir momentos importantes. vaguear un domingo juntos. etc. pero al mismo tiempo me voy para cuando regrese poder ser la mejor versión de hija. y cada vez que regreso aprovecho al máximo el tiempo con ellos, porque se que se siente no tenerles todo el tiempo.anyway, feliz cumple mama. te adoro y extraño todos los días 💙 by @aduenasy

late bday reflections ✨ turning 27, how wild.looking back at this past year, i’m so grateful for what life has brought me. a job that gives me purpose, new people i adore, and lots of unexpected adventures.this year i got to spend my birthday with my family after many birthdays apart. in nature. riding horses. even though i’m an ocean girly, i’m a mountain girl at heart.this past year was chaotically wonderful and nothing like i planned, but maybe that’s why it was so good.i’m not where i thought i’d be at 27, and some days i still feel like i’m falling behind (behind what? no clue). but this year taught me that everyone has their own timeline, and that i am right where i am supposed to be. excited for what’s next and so so grateful for all the love that exists in my life 💙 by @aduenasy

so, so incredibly grateful for the past week in the bahamas with @biminisharklab. i know i’m already lucky to spend my days in the ocean, surrounded by coral reefs and marine life, but traveling to the other side of the world and witnessing just how alive the ocean still is was sooo heartwarming.yes, we are impacting our oceans in countless ways, but there is still so much life worth fighting for. this week was a powerful reminder of that, and of why i choose to work in ocean conservation.i left not only recharged by the ocean, but also by the people, connecting with others who have dedicated their lives to protecting it reminded me that so many care, and so many are trying their best.leaving with a full heart and a renewed sense of purpose. thank you @biminisharklab for making this experience possible 💙 by @aduenasy

for the past few months, i’ve been living on a tiny island, working with the most incredible group of women i’ve ever met, in what might just be the coolest organization ever.life there has been quiet, slow, and beautifully simple. Most of my days were spent underwater, and the rest working on something that fills my heart completely, empowering women and protecting the ocean.i’ve just left the island life for a little while, to go home and see the other important people in my life. but I already miss it, the place, the rhythm, and the people who made it feel like home.talking with friends and catching them up on what life has been like made me realize how special this chapter has been. these past months have changed the way I think, the way I live, and the direction I want my life to take, in the best way possible.thank you, @coralcatch. thank you to all the Superwomen, and to everyone i’ve had the chance to connect with along the way. by @aduenasy
