KEY LV like you’ve never seen him before đŸ‹â€đŸŸ©đŸ—Żïž The comic books I made back in 2nd grade until end of high school were the first steps to my career in animation. What a joy to jump back into this kind of art with my favourite key lime pie dude! (PS.. u want to make Lawrence this happy? you TOO can leave five stars on Google đŸ˜˜đŸ€) @patisserielawrencev by @advenick
No conversation is more intimate than the ones that happen around a campfire... This setting felt perfect for the challenge of diving deep into subtle character dialogue animated on 2s. You'll see more about the process of animation references later in the video Had fun with this exercise and it was really good to jump back into stylized stuff. So excited to do more Special thanks to everyone who gave me feedback to get everything feeling natural. Responsible for all animation, the environment, 2D FX and lighting & rendering. Every campaign matters. Each one creates awareness, raises vital funds, and reminds us all that those touched by breast cancer are not alone. Thank You from our Pink family to the entire team @luluspastabar Lulu’s Pasta Bar for leading this campaign with heart and purpose. Your support helps fuel education, and patient care, while inspiring our community to take action. ✹ — This October, we’re once again partnering with @pinkinthecitycanada to raise funds for the MUHC Breast Clinic Wellness Program. 🎀 At Lulu’s, this cause is personal. Over the years, we’ve met so many guests and families whose strength inspires us every day. In collaboration with @pinkinthecitycanada, I am honoured to to design, for the second year, artwork for the 2025 Magic of Hope Fundraiser Gala. @ceo_mom and I brainstormed ideas and iterated versions over the process of a few weeks to achieve this final illustration. If you swipe, you will see some key reference images and concepts that were brewed together. It all started with a picture @lawrence.vourtzoumis took of a butterfly. The Live Photo revealed some magical frames of the butterfly with its wings deployed. With last years theme being a garden of hope, it was fitting that this years theme would portray a butterfly in that garden! Once that idea was sparked, the rest came quickly. Some fun details - the blurred background is inspired from Denise’s very own cherry blossom tree. Grape vines with tendrils are sprinkled within the illustration — each tendril reaches out to a branch to strengthen its grip and grow further. This is how I see the community revolving Pink in the City, each member is an anchor for another to grow on. As you continue to swipe you’ll see some iterations, colour explorations, etc. All leading to the final result! Thank you again Denise for your trust and collaboration. As a community, let’s raise a ton of money at this years Gala to help fund the MUHC foundation and in turn support victims with, or recovering from breast cancer. Follow @pinkinthecitycanada for all the updates during this important month! by @advenick
HOW COULD HE - BLOCKING V01 I miss animating humans talking!! So this is a project I’m doing in my spare time to practice. It will be a stylized (animated on 2’s) emotional dialogue animation of a couple having a difficult conversation around a campfire. I decided I’ll post progress on Instagram whoever is interested will see the animation progress over the next few months đŸ€žâ€â™€ïžđŸ€žâ€â™€ïžđŸ€žâ€â™€ïž If you swipe, you’ll see the many different references I took and notes that were given to me by a colleague from my MPC days who offered to help! #animationreference #3danimation #reference #3danimator #ramonarango by @advenick
SMEARRRR FRAMESSSSSSS đŸƒâ€â™‚ïžđŸƒâ€â™‚ïžđŸƒâ€â™‚ïž One of the best parts of animating is making the animation feel more fluid by sparkling smear frames all over Some were drawn in 2D, some were deformed geometry (during the zombie transformations his arms completely break 😂😂😂) ALSO CATCH THE IMPACT FRAMES, THEY ARE COOL TOO #smearframe #shortfilm #animation #3danimation #zombietag #animationbreakdown by @advenick
T-POSE Here’s an early early version of HOW TO PLAY ZOMBIE TAG, before any of the characters are animated. Placing the cameras in a 3D scene and animating them quickly in t-pose allowed me to get a feel for the pacing very quickly. This is called Previs stage Is there any more BTS footage you want to see? #shortfilm #previs #howtoplayzombietag #zombietag by @advenick
