Each year it comes around and brings with it many emotions. Yet, it can be an opportunity for us to look to God our Father who loves and cares for us more than we can comprehend!

What could be better than going on a StormCo trip with an awesome bunch of people? …the answers simple! Going on two StormCo’s in the space of three months! ✌🏼It goes to show, once you get a taste of how fun it is to serve Jesus, you want to do more! This was the experience of many who went to Coober Pedy in April, including Andrea, who was ready for trip number two to Port Augusta earlier this month. ✌🏼

Check out her reflections below and have a look at the fun that was had in these pics and vids! 😁🥰🙏🏼

Coober Pedy
“This was my third StormCo, but my first one to Coober Pedy. I was scared and nervous at first because I was only used to the kids from Port Augusta. The kids were very shy the first day or two and I didn’t think I was going to connect with any but by the end of the week I hard learnt almost all their names and I had connected with a lot of them. A big highlight was George, his happiness and joy was so contagious and brightened everyones day. God taught me a lot of patience and also showed me that no matter how tired I was or how sick I was, He would always give me the energy for the kids which was so important for me. I cannot wait to continue serving and doing more ministry as I grow and get more involved in mission. I cant wait to come back next year.”

Port Augusta
“My highlight over the week was seeing the kids again from last year. It was such a blessing seeing how they remembered me again. This year I really connected with Josephine, Reina, and Ella. By learning the Bible verse Romans 8:38-39, it taught me over the week to really rely on God and remember He will deliver me through anything I go through because He is greater than anything in all the earth and I can not be separated from Him. My prayer is that the kids could see how much God loves them through the we love we showed them. I can’t wait to see them all next year.” - Andrea

Thanks Andrea for saying yes to Jesus. You have made a wonderful impact on both these trips. 🫶🏼🩷🥰 taken in Port Augusta SDA Church by @adventist5700

New lesson we're studying this week. 🌱

Growing in Christ isn't just about what happens inside the church walls — it's about who we are when no one is watching. Or when everyone is.

This week we're exploring what it looks like to live a life that reflects Jesus in every interaction — with strangers, with family, with the person who cuts you off in traffic.

You never know who is watching. You never know whose heart God is already working on.

"The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned." 📖 Isaiah 50:4 taken in Port Augusta SDA Church by @adventist5700

Jesus meets us in the middle. 🌊✝️

To take us to the other side. In Matthew 14, Jesus sent His disciples ahead — and the storm came. But so did He. And they still made it to the other side. Everyone remembers Peter stepping out, but the real story is this: no storm changes the destination Jesus has set for you.

Our storms are not setbacks. They are not the end. We are all on a journey home — to where Jesus has called us to go.

A powerful reminder preached through Pr Darren Garlett, ATSIM (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ministry) Australian Director. We met on Saturday June 6, 2026 with Whyalla SDA Church for the annual ATSIM regional meeting and were blessed with how God moved. Thanks for being apart of the blessing of fellowship! 🫂

We'll see you back in Port Augusta this weekend for church, our doors open 10am every Saturday! 👋 taken in Whyalla, South Australia, Australia by @adventist5700
