The Abilities Expo is this weekend in Orlando. We decided to make a full trip out of it!
Atlas is due for a wheelchair soon. We’re hoping we can get some recommendations for that and other upcoming equipment! It’s just so hard to know what’s out there when the special needs world seems so niche.

Atlas has hit the point in therapy where it’s time for a break. Not because he doesn’t have anything more to work on, but to take a step back and work on what he’s learned. And WOW. This boy. I can’t even believe how far he’s come in the past 6 months.
Since doing an intensive therapy months ago, he has taken off.
Sitting up unassisted. Standing with support. Kicking his feet out to take steps (with lots of support!). We’re even working on using a “yes/no” button to communicate “more”!
Not to mention, he’s grown like 3 inches! These legs and arms are getting lanky!
Sometimes it feels like every day is a battle…often the same battles we’ve been fighting. I find myself saying “what now!?” Far too often.
But despite the challenges, Atlas is making facing his challenges and making progress. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Part 2 of what our 3-appointments day in downtown Baltimore might look like.
Yes, it’s so exhausting, especially for someone who is a natural introvert.😅 a week like this calls for a couple of days of recovery, if I’m honest. 🙈
These kiddos all do so well!! There might be complaining here or there, but for the most part, it’s just a part of our life now!
It’s how we show love to our sweet Atlas. 🫶🏻

A little peek into our life with a medically complex child. “How do you do it?”
“What does your day look like?”
“You bring your girls along every time?”
Join us on an appointment heavy day. Four kids, one being medically complex. Solo parenting. No spend (except the parking garage😅). Downtown Baltimore.
I’m so proud of my girls for being so well behaved during all of this. It’s not easy but I tell them, “this is how we love Atlas. By taking care of him, even if it isn’t fun.” by @adventure_m_n_m
