And then you discover the Shorkie.

Shorkies have the fearlessness of a big dog wrapped up in an adorable fluffy package that fits so perfectly in your lap. They bark to warn and protect you- but they don’t bark at EVERYTHING. If you know, you know.

Eddie is so adventurous, is a great hunter/sporting dog, and makes friends wherever he goes. He’s loving, affectionate and very loyal.

A few fun facts about the Shorkie breed- they are a cross between a Yorkshire terrier and a Shih Tzu. The terrier side is where they get the high prey drive. There isn’t a set standard for the Shorkie breed, so their size, temperament and appearance can vary a bit.

Follow along if you want to see what life with a Shorkie is actually like and share with a friend who has a breed like this on their wish list! 🐶🐾

I don’t know what’s worse- ticks or this outfit! 😬

My first Amazon Review

Got a summer haircut because apparently the ticks are having a record-breaking year. Mom and Dad ordered me some pajamas because I was cold.

Since there wasn’t anything small enough in the dog section, they ordered me cat pajamas.

Pros:
✔️ Soft
✔️ Cozy
✔️ Blue might be my color

Cons:
❌ Runs a bit small 😬
❌ Leaves very little to the imagination
❌ My dignity is currently under review

Would recommend sizing up! I’m not a cat for dogs sake! 😆

Just a sampling of some of my favorite dishes I’ve had at home and around the world 🌎

Do Mom and Dad really think I’m still going to eat The Farmer’s Dog?

Oh and a side of squirrel here or there hits the spot 🐿️

The Original Clam Tavern: A Review by Eddie, Traveling Food Critic
📍 Clifton Heights, PA

Let me tell you something about the Clam Tavern. This is not a place that cares about you. There’s no foam, no microgreens, no twenty-four-year-old explaining the “journey” of the halibut. This is a room that has been shucking things since before my grandfather was a twinkle in a breeder’s eye, and it does not need your approval. I respect that. I respect anything that smells this good and asks this little of me.

The steamers arrived in a pile, unapologetic, like they’d been pulled from the mud an hour ago and knew exactly what they’d done. Briny. Sandy at the edges in the way that tells you they’re real. My human dunked them in broth, then butter, and handed one down with the reverence it deserved. I’ll be honest: I don’t fully understand the clam as a concept. But I understood that one. I’d follow that clam into a dark alley.

Then the halibut. Clean, white, flaking apart under its own weight, the kind of fish that doesn’t need a sauce to justify its existence. I received a portion that I’d describe as “insultingly modest,” but quality over quantity, as the humans say when they’re about to eat the rest themselves. I watched every bite leave that plate. I’m not proud of it. I’m a professional, but I’m also a dog.

Service: they didn’t flinch at a critic under the table.

Ambiance: dim, wood, low murmur of regulars who’ve been coming for decades. Nobody was photographing their food. Nobody was performing. Just people, and one very good boy, eating something honest.

Overall rating: Pawesome. Four paws, one wagging tail, and a nap in the car on the way home.

Crickets, pumpkins, and a soft bed under the glow of a lantern on a cool, crisp fall night 🍂🍁

Relaxed- but also always on alert for whatever wildlife dares to appear 🐶

Who else loves fall time? 🍁🍂

During our trip to Savannah a little while back we checked out a local pet store and dog bakery @woofgangsav @woofgangbakery 🐶

This charming pet boutique offers all-natural, oven-baked goodies, stylish accessories, and top-notch grooming services.

They had the cutest dog treats and of course we left with a new toy for Eddie 🦊

Lucky they have a location near us at home so we can stop back again soon!
