Better late than never! Losing my Starbuck delayed this post, but I wanted to thank @vegas_friendsof_gp_rescue for a GREAT fundraising auction! Look what I got!! She has the BEST auction stuff. Seriously, something for EVERYONE. Obviously the BEST part is it all goes to the rescue. The SECOND best part is that she ships it to you for free! If you haven’t done any of her auctions yet, DO IT! You will not be sorry, and it’s all for the babies 🫶🐹 #guineapigs #guineapiglove #guineapiglover #guineapiggies #adoptdontshop by @adventuresinpocketprotecting

Favorite view from the Amtrak to LA. We’re on our way to Beverly Hills for the #JusticeforOrelha rally. I said I would go if there were ever a rally in Southern California and I meant it. For Orelha. And Orelha is all of them. #justicefororelha #orelha #justiçapororelha #justicapororelha by @adventuresinpocketprotecting

Little Zumi #969219. Awaiting Vet Exam/Health Check. Just brought in to San Diego Humane Society 5/26/26 because her person is moving. 8 years 8 months old. She came right up to me as you can see. 🥹Looks like she’s been through some things. Hope the exam comes out ok and she just needs a little TLC 🥺. #adoptdontshop #chinchilla #shelterpets #chinchillalovers by @adventuresinpocketprotecting

This is the hard one. The one I didn’t want to do. I can’t believe he’s gone. I came home from work and there he was…gone. I can’t get over the crushing pain that he was alone. I know he was looking for me. And I wasn’t there. I love you forever Starbuck. I know you are ok now with your brother Apollo and your mom Avery at the bridge. But I’m not ok knowing you were looking for me and didn’t find me. I will regret that every moment until I see you again. Possibly longer. When we found out you and your brother Apollo were Avery’s babies, my favorite Pet-Assisted Therapy piggy, we adopted you both without hesitation. 5 1/2 years with Apollo and nearly 7 years with you was not enough. You were a great piggy and a great friend. I miss you, my love. #petloss #petlossgrief #guineapigloss by @adventuresinpocketprotecting
