KRABI, THAILAND🌴🐘🌊🇹🇭we had the most adventurous time in Krabi - hiking, swimming, snorkelling, exploring nature spots and meeting elephants!!! we truly made some of our best memories here🤍however, as beautiful as these pictures are and as wonderful of a time we had…the reality of travelling is that it’s not always smooth sailing😅 in between being abandoned by our uber driver at night in a remote area because of the local “taxi mafia” to major problems with our hotel (to the point where we had to move to another the next day) to our scooter breaking down, we faced so many problems in a foreign place and lost money too (no thanks to @bookingcom never refunding us😒).buttttt that is the reality of life and travelling has made me so much more resilient and capable🙌🏼 yeah, we faced these issues but we were able to push through and still enjoy all our adventures. it’s such a huge privilege to be able to travel and i’ll never take that for granted. khàwp khun khâ Krabi🥹🙏🏼[thailand, travel, travel dump, activities in Thailand, where to go in Krabi, what to do in Krabi, island life] by @adventureswith_ak

TIGER CAVE TEMPLE🪷☸️🇹🇭1,260 steep steps to get to the top…but this hike was totally worth it…even though it did truly humble me🤣 at the top of the stairs, you’re rewarded to a small but beautiful Buddhist temple - the Tiger Temple Cave (Wat Tham Suea) - with the most stunning view of Krabi’s mountains⛰️also, i wore an outfit that covered my shoulders and my legs as it is a religious site, but then i saw soo many male tourists TOPLESS and female tourists wearing crop top/short shorts gym sets ?? please dress appropriately and have some respect !! 😒#travel #thailand #krabi #hike #culture by @adventureswith_ak

saying goodbye to a new city you moved to also means…saying goodbye to the version of yourself you became there, saying goodbye to people you didn’t even know existed 6 months ago & saying goodbye to your local favourite café or your go-to park💔not only is melbourne a great city, i’m so grateful for the memories i got to make there and for all the lessons the move taught me. this is the third time i’ve moved abroad in my 20s and each experience has been different and shaped me in its own way. and social media isn’t the whole picture - i also spent a lot of my time in melbourne feeling lost, lonely and homesick. i went from working a career job in london to working as a waitress in melbourne, struggling to pick up more hours and more pay. i struggled to make friends at the beginning and it took time to connect with people. i felt like i became too dependent on my partner who is from Melbourne and already has his roots here, losing a little of my own independence and identity in the process. i missed the comforts of home and my loved ones. …but it’s always worth it! despite all that, i gained a new city to love and call home🤍🇦🇺🦘🐨and i already can’t wait to go back in the near-future☺️#melbourne #moveabroad #livingabroad #lifeabroad #britinaustralia [moving abroad, moved abroad, living abroad, life abroad, UK to Australia, Brit in Australia, Working Holiday Visa, travel, life in Melbourne, Melbourne life, life in Australia] by @adventureswith_ak
