A little extra glimpse into what the past couple of months have been like:

A lot of people have asked what this experience has been like, and to be honest I’m still at a loss for words. If I could describe it in a sentence, i would say it has been hands down the worst, most challenging, yet beautifully rewarding things I have ever done. A year ago I would have never pictured myself here, now I couldn’t imagine it any differently. And God has shown me, once again, that stepping into His plans without fully knowing where He will take you will always be worth that leap of faith. He has blessed me tremendously, giving me the sweetest friendships, providing peace in the overwhelming, and giving strength in my frequent times of weakness. I could not have gotten through without the Lord carrying me every step of the way, and I cannot thank everyone enough who relentlessly prayed that He would do just that. What a journey this has been, I am beyond excited to finally be home :) by @ady.b06

Two weeks later and I still find myself completely unable to find that words that would fully describe everything this summer entailed. One thing that I know for certain is we serve a good God. Through the hard moments of being tired from difficult physical labor, missing my home, my faith being challenged, or through the God-filled moments of worshipping Him and making friendships that will last a lifetime, God is sovereign over it all. I learned to be grateful for the hardships life brings because God is there through every moment, even when I don’t feel Him there. We can endure hard things because we serve a God that is good. Serve Him for His glory in everything you do. I want to say thank you to everyone who supported me throughout this summer, thank you for every donation that helped get me there, and most importantly thank you for every single prayer. I wouldn’t have gotten through this summer without my incredible community! Thank you to every intern and missionary that served this summer. The way God is working through all of your lives is so special, it was such a blessing to serve with every one of you this summer! And lastly, thank you Lord for the opportunity to serve in the DR this summer. The DR will forever hold a special place in my heart ❤️ by @ady.b06
