Ending my story here at West feels so surreal. The path wasn’t easy, but it was purposeful. I overcame so many obstacles, moments that tried to set me back, moments that made me question whether I should keep going. But God moved every barrier and reminded me that for every reason to give up, He had a thousand and one reasons for me to keep going and follow the story He wrote for me.

I never imagined spending six years in college. I’ve always been on top of school, but this season stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. Losing my brother during nursing school broke me in ways I didn’t know were possible. I pushed through the pain until I couldn’t anymore, and in that breaking, God taught me that I am more than my accomplishments, more than my grades, and that even strong people can only carry so much.

When I had to step away from nursing, I realized God was showing me something: sometimes you’re placed in certain spaces just to learn, to grow, and then to leave, until it’s time to return. When His time is right.

Today, I’m graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with a clearer vision of the future God has set before me. The purpose of my story, of this story is simple: never give up because of the curveballs life throws at you. They will always come. Face what you must, overcome what you can, and keep moving forward. Don’t listen to negative voices or opinions from people who have never walked your path. They couldn’t do it because it wasn’t meant for them.
You’re strong. You’ve overcome so much. Be proud of the story God has written for you, because in the end, it will be so worth telling. 🤍✨

Honoring the sisterhood that shaped me into the woman I am and lifted me toward what’s next and higher. Forever and a day grateful to be a Delta and a graduate. 🐘❤️

To the DYNAMIC Kappa Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated: 
Thank you for being the first place I could truly call home. You welcomed me with grace and love from the start. Thank you for setting the standard of what it means to be a true Delta : your poise, determination, and excellence have paved a path I’m honored to follow. I’m forever grateful to now be part of that legacy. I will always remember your support, which has helped mold me into the woman I am destined to become.

To my Pros, 31 POV:
 Thank you for seeing not just who I was, but who I could become. You led me into this beautiful journey of sisterhood with encouragement, guidance, and unwavering belief. I carry your lessons with me and will make sure I pour that same energy into others. You saw something in me I will forever cherish, and you showed me growth in myself I never imagined. I take all of it with courage.

To my sisters, 25 TRUE:
 I couldn’t imagine entering this lifetime commitment with any other 24 women. You’ve taught me patience, kindness, and how to embrace a newer version of myself. There was a time when you couldn’t get a hug out of me, now I want to hug y’all all the time. The laughter, the tears, the safe space to be my authentic self… it’s been everything. Our stories aren’t the same, but each of you inspires me with your strength. Thank you for being my community, a space where no matter what, I’m loved, supported, and respected as I evolve into this new chapter. I’m so proud of us: how we embraced our journey, held each other up, and learned every step of the way. Y’all hold a special place in my life, and I wouldn’t trade any of you for the world. I love y’all forever and always. ❤️
