It’s been a rough few days and got the worst phone call last night. Lost my good buddy Erik. He was the foundation of the NW Dirt Oval scene. I’ve known him for just under 20 years and he always wanted me/us to try dirt oval. I’m glad we did.

He loved the kids and I so much and wanted nothing more than for people to enjoy the race day.

I will cherish our group chat then the personal chat when I got out of line. He was a “Hey give me a call” guy, I am not. He wanted me to call him last week, I did not. I did text him this morning that I would talk to him again someday.. and thanked him for loving my kids. The PNW is broken at the moment.

RIP @erikzimm23

That’s a wrap for outdoor turf.

Should been better but I wasn’t. Did enjoy watching what @diehard_rc has become. Great place to bring the family..

Thanks @suctionstickers for the pit spot again. So dialed!

Great day at @diehard_rc on Saturday with my boy. My race daughter had other plans so it was a boy day. I needed it.. I don’t see him much anymore since he works swing shift.

Over cast and breezy but we didn’t mind. I took over an unused tent from @suctionstickers and it was awesome.

I ran my B7.1 powered by @reedy_power in 55 ish Plus and still need more time with it.

My son ran his .3 in 21.5 and broke during warmups for Q1 and had a decent Q2 which put him in the back of the B main. From the tone he got it sorted and put in a great run and took a bump spot into the A. Not sure where he finished but a great run is a great run.

We took a scenic drive through the UW campus and got a burger and shake from Dicks.. great day with my boy.

Thank you @teamassociatedrc @reedy_power @factoryteam_rc @element_rc @1up_racing @team_tactical_rc for your support!!!

And special thank you to @diehard_rc for a place to race!! taken in DieHard RC by @ae_fanboy
