A fun weekend in RI with lots of walking and biking in downtown Newport, the incredible Bruno Mars concert @gillettestadium, and the BFL Beachfest @nptbeachfest at Fort Adams. I had incredible street noodles from @ourspotri_ that I will be dreaming about until next time. And my water lily decided to bloom today 🌼. So amazing!

When you walk out to the garden just to grab some basil and come back inside an hour later with a 5 gallon bucket of harvest. This garden is having a blast this summer.

Just can’t get enough. 😝

Garden pics with a trip to Iowa in the middle. Had a wonderful time celebrating a friend’s wedding, troll hunting in Clinton, kid’s day and my first wave this year at Kinnick stadium, dining around Iowa city, seeing my little Hawkeye (and moving out and in to apartments…not pictured cuz it was hot and humid and strenuous and stressful 😆), lots of storms rolling through each day canceled other fun plans we had (tractor parade and small local corn festival, and the Iowa state fair 😢). Always love visiting Iowa but good to come back home. A whole lotta garden 🥒 🥕 🥬 🌺 and little laundry troll to greet me when I got back. 🐩

Romantic texts from my husband. Almost 25 years and always finding ways to express his love.
Had to jump on this trend. Too easy. 😂

When your husband texts you from home while you are still on vacation and says, “what are we supposed to do with 27 freakishly long cucumbers?”, and then you come home 4 days later to 10 more cucs in the garden, well, you start pickling the same night you drove home from vacay. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Dill spears, bread & butter sweet slices, Bloody Mary refrigerator pickles, and now trying fermented old bay pickles. 🥒

Not to mention a few zucchini that are the size of small torpedos, you try 4 different zucchini brownie recipes and put them out for your daughter’s friends. 🤣 All were deliciously edible…some better than others.

Next up…..pesto!!! 🌱

Thankful for a garden that decides to do its own thing and we get to benefit from it going nuts. 👩🏼‍🌾. Hello Bloody Mary with all of the yummy spices and toppings. 🫒

Father’s Day boat weekend full of laying out, swimming, back flips off the boat, paddle boarding, mango pineapple daiquiris, lots of napping, and it all ended with 30-40 dolphins, including a baby jumping and breaching! 🐬
Spectacular!

I am quite sad that I decided at the last minute not to wear one of my Iowa Hawkeyes hats this morning because it was a fun surprise walking through the Philadelphia airport and seeing COOP!!! Always supporting our favorite Hawkeyes! Too bad it wasn’t the real @cooperdejean Maybe sometime back in Iowa City? He’s a big deal here in Philly, as he should be. Go Hawks!! 🖤💛🖤💛
