Steampunk O.C. - Aerin/Laurelinn Baker 🇨🇵 Gantelet biomécanique Toute la pièce a été faite en suivant les patrons et les tutos YouTube de Chris Huebert (@lostwaxoz). Donnez de l'amour à cet homme ! J'ai néanmoins modifié les patrons afin de donner un rendu qui correspondait mieux au personnage. J'ai donc ajouté une LED auto-alimentée (enfermée dans un châssis translucide), ainsi que des décorations en arabesques dans un pourtour hexagonal (Photo 1). J'ai ensuite ajouté (Photo 2) un lance-plasma du côté opposé, à partir de mousse et d'un cure-dents, et le tout a été peint dans les tons bleus-violets afin de simuler l'effet de la chaleur sur le métal. Une fiole de liquide bleu peut être vissée au lance-plasma, comme pour alimenter ce dernier. Le châssis est relié au lance-plasma via du fil métallique, mais également via un tube métallique flexible. Cela donne l'impression que l'arme est alimentée à la fois par une source d'énergie (LED) et par une potion (fiole). La base de la pièce a été faite en mousse EVA, avec quelques éléments en plastique, du fil métallique, et quelques boulons. 🇬🇧 Biomechanical gauntlet The whole piece was made using Chris Huebert's (@lostwaxoz) blueprints and Youtube tutorials. Give this man some love ! I however altered the templates in order to better fit what the character needed. I added a self-powered LED (enclosed in a frosted chassis), as well as some arabesque designs inside a hexagonal shape around it (Photo 1). I then added (Photo 2) a sort of plasma gun on the opposite side of the gauntlet, made out of foam and a toothpick, both of which were painted in blue and purple hues to simulate the effects of heat on metal. A vial of blue liquid can be screwed into the plasma gun as a sort of power cell. The chassis is connected to the plasma gun via metal wires, as well as a flexible metal tube. It gives the impression that the weapons is power by both a power source (the LED) and a potion (the vial). The piece was crafted using EVA foam, a few plastic elements, metal wires, and some bolts. Steampunk O.C. - Maverick M. Dornes 🇨🇵 Prothèse biomécanique Toute l'armure a été faite en me basant sur les patrons de Chris Huebert (@lostwaxoz) et en suivant ses tutos YouTube. Cet homme crée des merveilles et mérite tout l'amour de la Terre (je vous invite donc à aller lui en donner). J'ai néanmoins modifié les patrons afin de donner un rendu qui correspondait mieux au personnage. J'ai donc ajouté des emplacements pour pouvoir visser des fioles remplies de liquides colorés, mais également des LED auto-alimentées (enfermées dans un châssis translucide) à certains endroits de l'armure. J'ai ensuite relié les fioles aux LED par des fils néons reliés à une batterie fixée sur le revers de l'armure de poitrine. Cela donne l'impression que les différentes fonctions de la prothèse sont alimentées par des potions (Alchimie et Biomécanique). La base de l'armure a été faite en mousse EVA, avec quelques éléments en plastique, du fil métallique, et BEAUCOUP de boulons (oui, j'ai utilisé de vrais boulons pour un meilleur rendu...). 🇬🇧 Biomechanical prosthesis The whole armor was made using Chris Huebert's (@lostwaxoz) blueprints and Youtube tutorials. This man creates amazing things and deserves all the love in the World (as such, I invite you to go and give him some). However, I altered the templates a bit in order to better fit what the character needed. I added slots to screw in some small vials filled with colourful liquids, as well as some self-powered LED (enclosed in a frosted chassis) in some places of the armor. I then connected the vials to the LED using neon wires linked to a battery I glued on the backside of the chest piece. This gives the impression the various functionalities of the prosthesis are powered by some potions (Alchemy & Biomechanics). The armor was crafted using EVA foam, with a few plastic elements, metal wires, and A LOT OF bolts (yes, I used real bolts for a better finish...) Dragon Ball - Goku 🇨🇵 Bâton/Fourreau Petite création très rapide et très simple. Le bâton a été fait avec un tube en PVC et le fourreau avec un tube de PVC un peu plus large... Les extrémités du bâton ont été bouchées avec une petite épaisseur de carton tandis que le fond du fourreau a été bouché avec une petite épaisseur de mousse EVA. Le tout a été peint à la bombe, rouge vif pour le bâton et rouge-marron pour le fourreau. De très fines épaisseurs de mousse ont été fixées à la bouche du fourreau pour que le bâton soit bien fixé à l'intérieur du tube. Pour terminer, deux bouts de corde fixés à chaque extrémité du fourreau et attachés ensemble pour faire une bandoulière. 🇬🇧 Staff/Scabbard A quick and easy craft. The whole thing was made using PVC pipes. A longer, thinner one for the staff itself, and a shorter, slightly larger one for the scabbard. The ends of the staff were closed using cardstock while one end of the sheath was closed using a pice of EVA foam. The whole thing was then spraypainted, bright red for the staff and marroon red for the scabbard. Some very thin pieces of foam were glued around the mouth of the scabbard to snuggly accomodate the staff in it. Finally, two pieces of rope were attached on each end of the sheath, then knotted together to form a carrying strap. Steins;Gate - Mayuri Shiina 🇨🇵 Oopa Métallique Cette commande a officiellement cristallisé le surnom de "Eren de l'Abus" lorsque, de nulle part, elle m'a demandé de fabriquer cette figurine en moins d'une semaine... La fabrication n'a pas été très compliquée dans l'ensemble, néanmoins. La base était une simple balle de ping-pong que j'ai recouverte de Worbla. Les lignes ont ensuite été tracées dans le Worbla chauffé (et donc malléable) et le tout a été peint. Les oreilles et les pattes de la bête ont également été sculptées en Worbla. 🇬🇧 Metal Oopa This commission officially solidified the nickname "Eren the Abuser" when, out of nowhere, she gave me less than a week to do it... The whole crafting wasn't too difficult, however. I started with a ping-pong ball which I covered in Worbla. The detail lines were traced on the heated (and thus malleable) material and the whole thing was painted. The ears and legs of the beast were also sculpted out of Worbla. Demon Slayer - Giyuu Tomioka 🇨🇵 Tsuba La Tsuba (garde) a été modélisée sur Fusion360 et imprimée en deux parties sur la Creality CR-10S Pro de mon ami Nico. Les deux moitiés ont été collées, et le tout a été poncé et peint aux couleurs de l’œuvre originale. Pour terminer, la Tsuba a été placée sur une lame bleue personnalisée que j'avais commandée. 🇬🇧 Tsuba The Tsuba (guard) was designed in Fusion360 and printed in two parts on my friend Nico's Creality CR-10S Pro printer. The two halves were glued together, then sanded at length and painted in the colours of the original work. Finally, it was placed on a custom blue katana blade I had ordered. Saiyuki - Goku 🇨🇵 Bandeau/Fers Le bandeau a été réalisé en mousse, puis recouvert de Worbla. Le tout a été lissé puis peint en doré. Il tient grâce à un ruban élastique avec une boucle de fermeture rapide. Les fers, autour des poignets, des chevilles, et du cou, ont été fabriqués de la même manière, et sont attachés par du velcro. Le Worbla n'a, en revanche, pas été lissé pour garder une texture rugueuse, et des bouts de chaîne en plastique ont été ajoutés avant de peindre le tout en noir et de brosser une légère couche de peinture argentée. 🇬🇧 Headband/Shackles The headband was made using craftfoam covered in Worbla. The whole thing was then sanded smooth and painted in gold colour. It is worn using an elastic band and a quick release buckle. The shackles, around the wrists, ankles and neck, were crafted the same way and are opened and closes via velcro. The Worbla was, however, not sanded in order to keep a rough texture, and pieces of a plastic chain were added before painting the whole thing black. A thin layer of silver was then drybrushed on top.
