A S u n d a y s p i n t o Y o r k s H i l l

Did a nice easy 2 hour Sunday spin today. Punctuated by the Catford CC Hill Climb! 👊
.
I can confirm that a years worth of poncing around on a gravel bike is NOT prep for a 2 minute all-out hill climb effort!
.
Was lovely to see so many younger riders and a quality senior field, on one of the best races anywhere in the world. Had a blast chatting with mates, and heckling the fastest riders 🚀
.
The best bit was the recovery pancakes 🥞

Friday 5pm down tools. Head south accross Æskrdun. Meet some freinds. Head up onto the hill. Chill, eat, sleep. Saturday spin down the road for coffee, to meet Pip and the dog. Do another lap of the Hill. Second breakfast. Head back north on some new and some old roads. Refresh, replenish. Sunday pancakes. Head east accross the Weald. Catch up with the outlaws. Finish a lap of the lake. Head back home on my favourite trails, past my favourite tree. Drink beers 🍻
