really missed playing guitar in front of people, laptop begins to feel like a such a silly barrier after too long. I’m really looking forward to some opportunities coming up this fall. going to finish these songs and put them out by Halloween. These songs simply must leave the nest by @aeonexit

Played a quick little riff on Cyg, my new @officialgretsch jet baritone. one take, “mess ups” and all. running through a boss compressor pedal and the @earthquakerdev Plumes and then into a Scarlett focusrite and double tracked panned hard left and right. Right, now that the proper nerd shit has been said, I just want to say I’m so confused and uncertain with how I want to move forward in the music world right now…. I think this progression conveys this uncertainty. whataya think? by @aeonexit

I rode my skateboard for the first time in an embarrassingly long time and then I ate shit because of course I did and it was hilarious and fun and this is all I really have to say about it quite honestly. by @aeonexit

always an honor to perform on my home turf.
Pueblo is a lot of things, but it’s also my birthplace.
I joke often about how I always end up back here, and how you could always take the weirdo out of Pueblo but you can never take Pueblo out of the weirdo.

hello everyone
Today I am sharing a new song from my forthcoming album and new project garden of eyes, but instead of being on Bandcamp it will (for now) live on my patreon.
check my stories for info on the couple of memberships I am gifting today!

I have been quite busy working and saving and spending and toiling and surviving this hellscape we find ourselves in.

there’s still so much to do, and yet I felt an irrevocable pull toward sharing this one with you today from the demo sessions.

while I’m now in the overdubbing stage, and will be quickly moving into the mixing, mastering, and sequencing of the album to be, this particular song was wanting to be shared so badly.

so here it is.

I don’t want to spill all the beans about what the song, and the entire album, confronts. What I will say is I’m so grateful to have worked through the realization that someone in my life was no longer correct to invest time and attention and energy into, and is a confession to myself about how vital and healing it has been to be back in pueblo and with family.

it is, in part, meant to reflect some revealing clarity.
I hope you enjoy, but more importantly I hope you are removing the things in your own lives that are not working any more and can clear some space for what will return your investments.

stay strong, stay brave, stay true.

lately I’ve been feeling like a 21st century Cameron, only it seems I have no Ferris Bueller pulling me out of my languoring. I think it’s natural to forget that I am the wind in my own sails. That there is no one penciling in a day off in my schedule. I’m learning how to be less Cameron and more Bueller, and when I finally remember to unfreeze the rhythm of my own breathing, I remind myself that being unmoored is a mindset and i am actually just catching some drift to my next destination.

At the risk of coming off as even more grossly pedantic and cliche, there’s another movie reference I want to share; much like the Chocolate River boat in Willy Wonka, “there’s no knowing where we are going…”

Part one of the journey I embarked on after receiving my new @officialgretsch electromatic jet baritone! it’s like grease lightning but lower and slower, and it comes in a beautiful imperial stain finish that I’ve been coveting for like 5 years or something. basically, it’s the perfect gift for someone who just graduated with a BA creative writing non-fiction (yours truly).
